"At least I'm not a druggy." Ocean said glaring at her brother. "Ohhh, burn."

 

he glared back opening his mouth to retaliate


"enough."

 

"He deserved that..." Ocean muttered as she climbed out of her seat, hiding her eyes under her blonde fringe. "F*cking jack*ss..." She growled as she ran up the stairs.

Hermia watched her go, shrunken back slightly. She'd never seen Ocean act so angry before. She was always the happy one, always.

 

River stared after his sister,looking slightly shocked and guiltly

"Go apologize."Mickey ordered sternly

 

"Yeah, go on..." Hermia encouraged, tapping him on the arm slightly.

 

He sighed and got to his feet"Ocean..."

 

Hermia shifted awkwardly, now she wasn't staking her claim on River she felt a little foolish wearing the shirt. Not that she minded wearing so little, it was just the connotations that came with it.

Up in her room Ocean was sat on her bed, it was a single one that was up in the corner of the room. She was sat in that corner, holding one of her pillows close to her as she fought back tears.

 

"Ocean?"he said quietly,peeking around her door

 

"What?!" She snapped, not looking up from her feet.

 

he jumped back,this was ridiculous...he could fight vampires,werewolves and join the army but his big sister still scared him? "im...sorry"

 

"Hmph..." She muttered, tilting her head back to try and keep her tears in her eyes. "Don't need to be I guess... It's true..."

 

"i didnt mean it....you...just need to get out more"

 

Ocean snorted sceptically. "Believe me, I would if I could. I would if I could..." She sighed. "You've got Hermia... And I'm sure Elly's probably got herself a boyfriend by now judging from the owl she sent me a couple of days ago... And I'm the eldest and I'm single. I might have my work, but I'm still single..."

 

"Elly better not have a boyfriend...shes only 11 and you could take a night off....a saturday or something and go out..."

"I can't, everyone else has a family already so I get dragged in as I don't have 'any prior commitments'..." Ocean sighed.

"Im no healer like you....but they didnt show us first aid....I could cover if you went out....you could take Hermia and Cadey or friends from work...I dont like seeing you upset..."

 

"It's fine... They have to give me time off sooner or later." She said, resting her chin on the pillow again. "And I doubt going out just once is going to find me the guy..."

 

"It would get you a guy though...just as long as he was nice to you....or he can say hello to your AWOL brother."

 

Ocean giggled weakly. "Maybe I'm just not meant to do the married with kids thing..."
