"I'll lose the gel when you lose the fake tan."

 

Hermia snorted slightly. "That might not be a bad idea."

 

"For who?"

"Both of you....Elly...your 11....dont 15...you dont need fake tan and River....just...no more gel."

 

"Yeah, you look like your father had an affair with a wotsit." Lake said, trying her best not to laugh. "Blonde and fake tan doesn't work."

 

he laughed


"Its suspposed to look natural..."

 

"Not natural unless you're part mango."

 

"Thanks..."she muttered

 

"You're welcome." She smiled cheekily. "Anyway, you need to keep a low profile River."

 

"I will once I get out of here...Im so friggin' bored!"

 

"Well I think you're going to be here a couple more days," Lake said, patting his head gently. "Didn't really get the chance to talk to Ocean about it."

 

"But...I wanna go home."he whined

 

"Have to be nice to your sister then." Lake grinned.

River was sitting in his grandmothers house,as he'd promised to visit her after he got out of the hospital,he still couldnt move alot due to the burns and it turned out he'd sprained his ankle too,he was watching T.v,sucking on a lolly pop,he'd also gotten his hair cutt,chopped more like,it was now so short no one could grab it or run a hand through it,but It suited him,it made him look older,if it werent for the lolly pop he'd look his age even.


He suddenly turned to Hermia,"Hermia? Can I talk to you? Outside?"he asked,glancing at his many cousin's

 

"Hmm?" Hermia said looking up at him, she'd been lying across the same sofa that he was sat on with her head resting on the opposite arm to River. "Yeah, sure." She added on after it had registered in her mind. She pushed herself up off of the sofa and stood up.

 

he got up and limped outside thinking its ok....you can do this....the worst thing she can do is tell you to take a run and jump...

 

Hermia walked with him. "Do you need some help walking...?" She asked carefully, not wanting to insult him.

 

"Nah....Im not that old just yet"He laughed "I actually wanted to ask you something."he said leaning against the wall" Y'know everyone keeps going on about the future? Our future really ....Like having kids....getting...Married....So I've been thinking...."he said red flashing across his cheeks,he reached into his back pocket pulling out a small black box,"And what I want to ask you is...if you'll Marry me?"

 

A gigantic smile spread across Hermia's face. She grabbed hold of him and pulled him into a hug. "Yes!" She exclaimed in a voice more filled with excitement then a kid at their best Christmas. "Yes!" Hermia repeated, feeling as though she had to say it again to keep it true.

 

He laughed hugging her back

 

Hermia giggled loudly. Unable to contain her excitement, kissed him passionately on the lips.
