Aj snickered "Trying to be funny and hide more like."

 

"River!" Hermia sighed. "Go on, you have to face the consequences of your actions sooner or later."

 

"She will kill me and not think twice about it...."he said diving in the couboard.

Mickey opened their door "where is he?"he sighed

 

Hermia silently nodded her head in the direction of the cupboard.

 

should've known..."He muttered going over,pulling a shocked looking River out by the scruff of the neck "No! dad! dont!"

 

Hermia sighed and headed downstairs in front of them. If there was going to be a big scene she felt as though she should probably be there.

 

River strained against his father's hold,ripping his t-shirt in the process,Mickey dumped him in one of the kitchen chair,River rubbed his neck

 

Hermia took a seat on the kitchen counter, watching them from a fair distance. She didn't want to get roped into this if she could avoid it, seeing as she had no idea who's side she'd take.

 

"River.."she sighed "whats wrong with you?"

"Other than the fact your mentally challenged?"

"Esmya..,"

"whats wrong with me today or just in general?"

 

Hermia watched on, her eyes darting about slightly. She didn't really know where to look.

"In general River, you're acting so self-destructive you're one step away from jumping off a cliff."

 

He shrugged "I dunno....Im not some sort of doctor or something..."

"and what made you want to get high?"

"Curiosity."

 

"Curiosity my arse." Ocean scoffed. "We know what you were on before you came back here."

 

"So?"he snapped narrowing his eyes

 

"Meaning you probably feel the need to take more of the same breed of drugs. Whether it's hallucinogenics or steroids or whatever."

 

"No...Never taken steroids in my life so not good for you..."

"But other drugs are?"

 

"Whatever it is you're taking isn't good for you River! I've seen what that stuff can do to you inside! I've had to deal with god knows how many kids who thought they could cope with just a line of coke, or just an E or two. It's disturbing, and disgusting, and I don't want to see my little brother die from the same causes!"

 

" I know what I can and cant handle Ocean.....I know my limits..."

 

"I don't think you do River!" She snapped.

 

"My body...I know..."He muttered into his hand

"Enough....River...your not aloud out the house alone or with Aj."Mickey said"so...gimme your car keys."

"I still have them..."Aj said when River looked worried

 

"Hand them over then." Ocean said snappily.
