After one of YouTube's updates a while ago, it freezes Mozilla Firefox for about five seconds, which isn't a big deal, but I'm just curious if anyone else has been having this as well?

I should note this is only on videos.

I use Chrome, and so far, no problem whatsoever. If this something that happened just once, I wouldn't worry about it.

It's any time I go on a video page. For example:

Hmm, not sure why it's doing that then. I just played that vid without any problem. Have you tried using something other than Firefox (like Chrome) to see if you get similar issues?

Here's a demonstration (watch in full screen and 1080p):

Also pay attention to my YouTube tab.

As for Google Chrome, it doesn't happen on there, but I don't use Google Chrome as my default browser because it uses too much RAM. My computer crashed when I was processing a video one night, something that's never happened before. I'll give it another try after I upgrade my RAM, though, and see how that goes.

I use Mozilla Firefox and this doesn't happen to me. Try YouTube's Feather Video page.

    Where do I find that?

Also, you did see the issue in the video clearly, though, right?

Works fine on the Feather version, but it really disables a lot of things like comments, which I need, though I suspect that's where the issue lies.

There are no issues for me even when I use the regular version, so it's on your side. Try running CCleaner, and disable any FF addons that affect YouTube.

It can't be on my side if it doesn't happen on Google Chrome.

Yeah, it can. It doesn't happen to me on Firefox. Try what I said and run CCleaner, and look for any FF addons that may affect YouTube.

    It's not add-on related:

As I said, I believe the issue lies within comments loading, so it's either YouTube or Mozilla Firefox. It started when this happened and wasn't an issue beforehand, so I suspect the changes that happened back then weren't only on the Uploads page.

But as I said, even when I'm using the regular video page, it still doesn't have that issue, even when it is loading comments. I would try and disable all your addons temporarily just to see it any of them are affecting it.

Well, it's not freezing now after disabling add-ons, so I guess it was add-on related. You just said look for any add-ons that affect YouTube, and there weren't any enabled.

Edit: Looks like it was Skype Click to Call, which I don't really need.
