    This thread will serve multiple purposes. First and foremost, it is where you will post your ability lists for your characters' Crystariums as well as your OCs. You don't have to post the ability list right away. You could just stick in a l'Cie OC right now then later on add in an ability list and eventually an Eidolon. This thread will also be updated with major events that occur in the RP.




    Rules

    1. General KHV rules apply as well as the rules of grammar and spelling.
    2. You must have some knowledge of the game otherwise things are just going to be confusing for you.
    3. Related to rule 2, whether or not you played XIII-2 won’t matter. I have played it and have revised the RP’s story just enough so that it’ll fit in with the timeline of XIII-2. Any major differences you see will be explained as the RP goes along.
    4. You cannot use the exact weapons of characters from any Final Fantasy game. Yes, gunblades are allowed and so are dual weapons(like Lightning’s weapon) but you cannot even say they belonged to a known Final Fantasy character.
    5. With the above rule, it follows that none of you may control characters from other games. There are some exceptions like with one of the users here Role Playing as Lightning…and of course I am excluded from this rule.
    6. Your character may not have been born with the ability to use magic. For the sake of the plot, I don’t need everyone acting as freelancers here.
    7. For newcomers to this RP, please don’t be afraid of joining. You will not start out as l’Cie but soon after starting the RP you will become l’Cie. I want more people to join in so don’t worry if you weren’t in the original thread! You will be allowed to start your characters off in either Cocoon or in an area of Pulse that is not Oerba.
    8. Eidolons and Crystal l’Cie can have original abilities made up entirely by you but I do not want to see everyone with the same abilities. Also, with Eidolons, I don’t want to see everyone going for the same Gestalt forms.
    9. In the OC form for the l'Cie, the Roles you can choose from are: Commando, Ravager. Sentinel, Synergist, Saboteur, and Medic. You only get three at the start.
    10. During the RP, you may only switch Roles once per post.
    11. I reserve the right to add any rules I see fit at any time. This is Arch’s rule! Of course, I will tell you all if I add anything.

    Crystarium Rules
    I’m going to do a brief rundown on the Crystarium that’ll be used for this RP. Below me are the Role Trees. Each row in the list represents a tier. Bottom row is Tier 1 and they’re numbered upwards as such. You’ll notice that for every role, at the top of each tree there’s an ability called “Full ATB”. That’s essentially your Limit Break, your character’s strongest move. You can only have one of these however. You have the choice as to which role it will be available in. Also, you can only have one Tier Four ability per role.

    More on tiers. The first tier of three roles will be available to you at the start of this RP. To get more roles available to you is simple but I’ll elaborate on that later. To unlock the higher tiers and eventually your “Full ATB” move, certain events in the story will have to take place. Gaining your Eidolon allows you access to Tier Two of every unlocked role you have. More tiers will unlock as the story progresses.

    How will I restrict you on abilities and roles? Crystarium Points! Or CP for short. You will start out with 8 CP at the start of the RP. Each ability you gain will cost you only 1 CP. So you get 8 abilities at the start. You can distribute them across all three roles of your choice or focus on specific roles.

    So how do you unlock more roles? You will have to use 1 CP to unlock another role. From then on, you can do whatever you want with it. Keep in mind, once you spend your CP and start using your new abilities and roles, you cannot start over.

    Those who where in the original RP and have already gained their Eidolons will be rewarded 5 extra CP and have Tier Two of all roles unlocked to them. This will go for everyone else who gains their Eidolon.

    Tiers also indicate the number of posts you must wait between using abilities. Using a Tier One ability means you must wait one post between each use. Meaning you can use it the very next time you post! Tier Two means you can use it every other post and so on. “Full ATB” abilities however can only be used once per battle. Also, all "Buffs" and "DeBuffs" last for only five posts.

    One last note, some abilities are linked. Linked abilities cannot be learned unless you learn a specific ability on a lower tier. In example, Fira cannot be learned without learning Fire first. Linked abilities will be underlined and color coded. Linked abilities will be of the same color to make things easier for you.

    Commando

    * Blitz - Deal Physical damage to target and nearby foes.
    * Deathblow - When attacking weakened enemies, there is a chance to kill them in one hit.
    * Stun Blade - Strike with weapon for a chance to stun an opponent for one full post.
    * Ruin - Deal non-elemental Magical damage to one foe.
    * Sword Field - Two blue blades appear at the waist of the caster. The blades will spin around acting both as a defense and offense, dealing minor damage continuously. Lasts three posts.
    * Strike - Toss weapon for a ranged hit, summons weapon back regardless if it hits or misses.
    * Saber - Deals more damage per hit but weakens the user’s defenses as well.
    * Jump - Leap into the air and crash down on an enemy for high damage.
    * Lancet - Attack and drain health from an enemy on contact.
    * Darkness - Drains health to do heavy physical dark damage.
    *Cross Judge - Unleashes a cross-shaped beam of light that simultaneously damages enemies and heals allies standing in its field. Does not heal user and does not allow the user to move. Area of effect is roughly 30 feet(about 9.1 meters) around the caster.
    * Exploder Blade - On contact an explosion is set off on the weapon that can damage surrounding enemies.
    * Ruinga - Deal non-elemental Magical damage to target and nearby foes.
    * Scathe - Deals heavy non-elemental damage to enemies. Spell extends outward in a straight beam-like line.
    * High Jump - Activates faster than Jump and does more damage.
    * Adrenaline - While unwounded, gain a boost in magical and physical strength.
    * Flare - Deals an enormous amount of non-elemental damage to all in the area, even friends.
    * Mercy - Deals a great amount of non-elemental damage to all foes.


    Ravager

    * Fire - Fire Magical Attack against target foe.
    * Flamestrike - Fire Physical Attack against target foe.
    * Blizzard - Ice Magical Attack against target foe.
    * Froststrike - Ice Physical Attack against target foe.

    * Resist - Unable to be inflicted with status ailments for a short period of time. Cannot use other defensive abilities when active.
    * Deathward - Whenever one is in a critical state, resistance to physical and magical damage is greatly increased.
    * Bonecrusher - Strength is increased when in a critical state.
    * Entrench - Counter attack after guarding. The longer you guard, the more damage you deal to the enemy in return.
    * Barrier - Casts Protect on all allies. Cannot be cast on oneself.
    * Shield - Casts Shell on all allies. Cannot be cast on oneself.
    * Mediguard - While guarding, your health will slowly recover.
    * Provoke - Makes the target and nearby opponents attack the defender.
    * Brawler - Strength greatly increases when fighting barehanded.
    * First Aid - Heals an ally only when they are in a critical condition. Equivalent power to Cura.
    * Whirl Burst - Heavy gust of wind knocks back all enemies.
    * Recoil - Enemy takes half the damage of all attacks used on user for four posts. Cannot switch roles during effect.
    * Iron Fist - A punch that will deal heavy damage to a single enemy.
    * Lifebreak - Instantly deals damage to an enemy based off how weak the user is. Most powerful when used at a critical state.
    * Graviga - Takes a massive chunk out of an enemy’s health but cannot kill them. Most effective when the enemy is at full strength.
    * Quake - Deals heavy Earth-elemental damage to all enemies.

    * Death - Has a small chance to instantly kill an enemy.


    Medic

    * Cure - Restores health to target party member.
    * Esuna - Removes the last weakening or jamming ability that was suffered.
    * Regen - Slowly restores health over time.
    * Cura - Restores health to target party member and those nearby. Heals two targets.
    * Curasa - Restores health to target party member. The lower your health is, the more it will recover.
    * Raise - Revives one fallen ally and recovers a small amount of health.
    * Curaja - Restores health to target party member and those nearby. Area of effect spell. The lower your health is, the more it will recover.
    * Renew - Removes all status ailments from one target.
    * Esunaga - Removes the last debuff cast off of all allies.
    * Holy - Deals massive light damage to all enemies, removes all status ailments from allies.

    Essentially yes. It'll be easier to follow once the RP actually starts. If anyone new joins, they would start on Cocoon or a city from Pulse(not starting l'Cie though).

    For the people who were in the old thread, I'd prefer it if you transfer your OCs to the slightly updated forms. This includes Eidolons if you've made them.


    Announcement: I changed two abilities for the Commando Role. Smite and Launch have been replaced by Stun Blade and Sword Field. Bushy convinced me that Smite and Launch should be things already physically possible without abilities.

    Alright, so I've edited a lot in now. Crystariums are up for Mya and Jaden. Both characters are in. Ifrit, Jaden's Eidolon, is now in with his ability set. Linegia, a Crystal l'Cie, is now in as well. I still need to add in Lightning and Snow for the RP and get their Crystariums up...and their Eidolons up too.

    Now new RPers yet. ;-; Guess with all the content it might scare them off. Anyways, for those continuing the RP, send me your updated stuff! I can work on the profiles for Lightning and Snow but I don't want to copy every OC into the new forms. So everyone send me your stuff! Updated OC forms, Eidolons, Crystariums, and anything else you want!

    I'd just like to say, I'm all for coming back in, don't worry about that. Will work on my stuff later.
    I do have one concern though. The RP seems to be headed too much towards RPG territory to me. I mean, I can totally understand why you have it; it really helps stop people pulling new moves out of their backside, but the whole CP distribution thing seems a little... well, just too game-like I guess. Just wanted to put that out there.
    Still rejoining though, despite my little complaint there.

    I understand what you mean. The previous Crystarium felt unbalanced to me however. Anyone who had Ravager as their default role could seriously get an assload of abilities. I know it's popular but that's exactly why I used the CP thing. It puts everyone on the same playing field...plus it makes it easier on me to decide when you guys can get new abilities.

    I suppose I'll return but if I recalled, Ryou was alone with Jenny (not in that way you pervs!) and was initially headed for a town with her, I had been debating on Wizel really, a Knight becoming a Cheetah isn't exactly...well, Knight-ly, so might change him for a different Eidolon

    Might change Ryou's Nodachi for a shortsword along with perhaps a new wardrobe sicne his old ones are practically well, war-torn but since the Rp is also heading into the XIII-2 timeline, that'll eb intersting, so logn as spoilers aren't given to peopel who haven't got far or such

    Appearance: Medium build, medium-length black hair in a style similar to Raines, fair skin, deep blue-green eyes. Wears something similar to Rosch, but instead of Rosch's coat, Omega wears a slick, black, leather trenchcoat instead. A burned-out Pulse l'Cie brand is clearly shown covering the right side of his face, his eye in place of the brand's eye.
    Personality: Apathetic and serious around strangers, yet very calm even in the most dire situations; Omega only loosens up when around his siblings, his closest friends, or alone. He respects the fal'Cie and takes his Focus very seriously as he places it only second to his family, hence he may change alliances. Easily bored, he finds enjoyment in a good fight, usually against an Eidolon. Avoids talking about his past or his Focus, unless has a certain level of comfortability around the person. Each model of Omega Weapon has a different personality, though some have none at all.
    Weapon: Originally the Masamune, which recently broke, and the Blood Sword, but will soon replace them with his personalized Omega Weapon gunblade.
    Magic Type: High Level Non-Elemental, Spacial/Temporal, Drain
    Special Abilities: A combined Sentinel and Commando, but mainly the latter. His mere presence makes Eidolons hesitate to attack and throw off their accuracy. His brand acts like a power limiter; the more intense it glows, the more power he has access to. Can change his model type, but only has access to Models V, VI, VII, VIII, X, XI, XII, XIII-1, and XIII-2 (replace Shinra's body with Omega's) and can only re-transform again after 24 hours. May only heal through items, the magic of others, draining a person's life, or transforming.
    Other: One of the Pulsian Trinity, the name given to the three personal l'Cie of Pulse, he is known as both “Bringer of the End†and “The Ark to Infinityâ€. Omega has two siblings: Ultima, his younger sister, and Alpha, his older brother. Though it slightly varied, their Focus was the same: eliminate any and all threats to the planet and maintain natural order and balance in the world until the Day of Reckoning. Omega's version of the Focus also showed him the key role he would play on that day. Joined with Jenova to infiltrate and discover their motives to decide if they are a threat to the planet. Considers himself to be a third party in the conflict and only follows his original Focus, which is impossible to complete and will never end. Learned much in his travels across dimensions.

    Appearance: Nearly identical to Hope, with slight differences such as golden eyes, whiter hair, numerous scars on his body from previous battles with Omega in his dragon form, and has a bit more muscle. He starts off wearing an old, torn up t-shirt and worn out shorts and later wears white slacks with a simple gray belt, gray sneakers, a khaki, unzipped hoodie over a long-sleeve, black shirt, and silver gloves.
    Personality: He's very expressionless most of the time mainly because he doesn't know how to show most of his emotions due to him taking dragon form at a very young age.
    Biography: Had his village destroyed by the Undying at age four. Lindzei found and took pity on the child, and took him with her to become her personal l'Cie that directly rivaled the Pulsian Trinity and Pulse himself. He was five when he took the form of the silver Crystal Dragon at the end of his first battle with Omega and was feared by the gods afterwards. He demonstrated his power at the Battle at the Sea of Eden, where he single-handedly annihilated all of the opposing forces there (the fal'Cie Leviathan, the Magus Sisters l'Cie, the entire city of Chronopolis, and the semi-complete supercomputer/artificial fal'Cie FATE), ultimately ending in the biggest time crash in the history of Gran Pulse, hurling the Sea of Eden 14,400 years into the future, and also the greatest loss in history. Effectively ruled the world with fear and destruction for another 10,000 years or so until he was finally defeated by Omega and sealed so deep within the planet that not even Atomos could reach him. Has recently awakened from stasis and freed from being a l'Cie. Travels with Omega unless told otherwise.
    Weapon: The legitimate Dragoon Lance of this world, not the replicas people can buy at weapon shops

    Other: Retains his skill from when he was a l'Cie. Was memory wiped by Lindzei before he could speak, but he's still able to understand others. Will speak if given time or emotionally driven to. The spirit and mind of the Divine Dragon lies dormant within him and may briefly take over if he finds that the child is lacking in the current situation.

    Hm. I'm letting you keep them as powerful as they are but I want you to change two things. Change the bit about Omega fighting Caius. I don't want him to have ever done that. Also, I think I remember reading that Shin had been sealed in Taejin's Tower but now it makes little sense. Jenny was in there and for other reasons, I don't want Shin to have been sealed there. You can say he may have been sealed elsewhere though.

    Well, I was hoping for some new members but I guess the RP is too involved for new people so...whenever I get all the updated OCs and Crystariums. I'm waiting on DarkTraitor, Twilight_Nobody13, and Kross123. I apologize if I missed anyone else but that's all I remember from the top of my head. Twilight doesn't need to do anything for Lightning but she needs to stick in her other character's info(OC and Crystarium). ...I'll be editing in Snow and Lightning tomorrow or something.

He shut himself to outer company and rejected visits. The fate of his parents or other possible relatives remains a mystery. His future remains unclear, but he will soon become a L'Cie. He visits her grave every day, coming always with Pulse Lilies, his wife's favorite flowers.
