Do you think it's better then American cartoons?


I personally do because like look at the cartoons that are out there for kids playing all the time it's either spongebob or a dumb show like dora the explorer. Some animes are short but they have a good moral. Unlike dora the explorer theme which I think is like "swiper no swiping" What does that have to do with anything your going to use in the real world.

Anyway what do you think?

I like anime,but I don't like the cartoons they show today,I perfer the good old 90's toons like Sonic the hedgehog,PPG,Dexter's Lab,2 stupid dogs,X-men,and Spider-Man. Overall Anime is better than the cartoons they put on today but is equal to the 90's cartoons.

all the anime shows are just violent. look at blood, blood trinity, bleach, and even naruto. They curse and have excessive blood and poor morals. i 'll admit the show son today can be pretty dumb, and yes the 90 shows were better. You need to look at the negative things of anime, rather then the bad things about American cartoons.

 

I prefer anime, I find the art work better, and most of the series out there aren't quite as stupid/silly as American animation, but yeah, most anime is pretty violent, but some series aren't, like Fruits Basket, not so violent, and it has amazing morals in my opinion. It's all a matter of opinion :P

 

Anime pwns, but the old American cartoons pwn harder. Nothin beats Bugs Bunny... But, since that is gone literally, I vote Anime.

But in the end I think I would go with anime :3

But, most animes are better than these crappy, stupid, fall off a roof and never die cartoons they show in America. At least if someone falls off a roof in anime they at least suddenly fly right back up or die.

 

You are only judging anime by a few series and making a broad generalization. Not all animes are like that. Some anime don't even have a single action sequence.

Anime gets old,boring and repetetive over time.

Western Cartoons are just plain uninteresting at the start.

Now thats the only the case for some Western cartoons there are still those that are just awesome (Avatar,Invader Zim,Futurama,South park,Family guy etc) and though you and me may not agree on it things like Spongebob and Fairly odd parents are loved and adored by people everywhere.

Anime as I said can get boring and repetetive such as Dragon ball Z did, Naruto,Bleach,Gundam SeeD,One piece etc And if you dont bring something new to the table im bassicly watching the same thing with different characters,plot and setting but most have the same format.

Now there are those Animes that brought something quite new (Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya as a good example) but when you decide to do something new you gotta make sure its not boring as hell (Lucky star as a good example) And something that will keep you anticipated and erging for next weeks episode (Death note is another good example). But its all based on opinion.

I dunno.

I grew up on a lot of american cartoons. Like Billy & Mandy, Courage the Cowardly Dog and Invader Zim. To this day, despite that I'm 16, I still watch them occasionally, and I do like them a lot.

Though, anime's are a lot more entertaining, and have much better, mature humor a lot of the time. Sometimes invoking some love triangle or something to add to the spice.

Even then, I do like it. I'd have to say...it's a tie.

 

Anime is geewd but I do miss the old cartoons..>_>

It Depends i liked the old USA cartoons like Johnny Bravo and Dexters Labratory
but now they got ******ed shows now like The Winx Club and Jniper Lee but i like Code Liyoko sp? thats ok

 

Exactly. The olden days were nice. but now... Ugh. just take a show called Squrill Boy. *shudders*
