Kingdom Hearts II I didn't know about abilities until Timeless River

And I still got through the whole game easily...

 

What were you doin' when they explained it to you? Did you even open the menu selection?

 

*puts hand up* Yay I wasn't alone! ^^ I found it all to confusing when they explainned it so I just dismissed it. I didn't use drive forms throughout the entire first time I played it. I do now though.

 

I was letting my friend play, and he skipped all of the ability info.

 

It's easy enough to go through the game without changing but not knowing how is a bit silly. But i confess. I found it confusing at first also.

 

I never used any drives during my first playthrough, I didn't change my keyblade either. I liked to keep things original. I'm just weird that way. But standard mode is really easy, and begginer is just plain cakewalk, playing on proud I actually had to change my keyblades. So I guess it really just depends on the mode. I didn't find the tutorials really confusing, I was just too lazy to pay attention lol.

 

I didn't change my keyblade until Monstro in KH1, cause I had no idea what I was doing. Luckily, I knew the game system enough by KHII to get all the no abilities no sweat.

 

i didnt change my KH2 keyblade until just aftyer the first attack on the ship in my second visit to pearl harbour......

i played the second before the first though....

Same, I played KH2 first so had no idea who Roxas was and I was just wondering when the disney characters came in.

 

I used drive forms but i didnt find out how to change keyblades or wear accessories and stuff like that until around timeless river as well. Hehe :)

 

Glad I'm not the only one. In the first KH game, I didn't know anything about abilities or equipment until Hollow Bastion. (I was just really confused by it). Yet I knew how to switch keyblades...
Then in the second game I played through the first time and I never used any drive forms because I had no idea what the gauge was for...
I feel really stupid about it now....haha

 

That's probably because the game wasn't as challenging as KHI.

But, to tell the truth, when I first found out about swithcing keyblades, I was in KH and I was versus Cerbures(sp?). That was my first tough fight, and I had to pick a different keyblade. Luckily I went to Deep Jungle first, and I used that keyblade.

 

I found out by my Sister telling me about abilities and keyblade swithes but I knew how to do it when I finally played the first one. If I didn't know then I would probably still be fighting Riku at Hollow bation the second time when it's a one on one fight.

 

I had a stragety guide. Plus its a squarenix game so its kinda perdictable.

 

I did somthing like that in FF8, only using GF Shiva, Quezcotl and Ifrit, never drawing or using magic and affter 45 hours of gameplay I was like, wait a minute.....

Aw man, how can you not use drive though? It's so fun esp. Master form where Sora looks like a big cute banana and final form when you can zip aroung with the glide ablity. Two keyblades is awesome, reminds me of my Rocco *swoons*

I loved summoning too, esp Stitch and strumming that ukelke!

I never liked the summons and I never used the drive forms because I didn't want to waste my drive gauge, don't ask why- I'm just like that. XD but the second time I played it I totally spammed the drive forms.

 

I almost never use summons, the only time I used them was so I could unlock a cup at Olympus Coliseum to get Ultima. Once I figured out how to use drives and abilities, I used them all the time.
