    Notes: Inspired by the Young Justice cartoon. It's a Justice League Role-Play, though any member from the DC universe is welcome. It takes place in its own universe and I will be using things from multiple sources (Comics, cartoons, shows, movies, etc.) I haven't added all the characters (especially mine) to the OOC first post thread. I will within an hour of posting this. However, the names of all the taken characters and created characters are found here.

    ~Know Your History~

    A world in need of justice

    The world had always known about superheroes. But up until ten or so years ago, they were only an urban legend. The Justice Society of America, led by Hawkman, saved the world from evil several times, but they stayed out of the limelight. They were heroes, not celebrities. After one of their arch enemies, Icicle, was somehow able to deduce their secret identities and kill some of their members, eventually putting Hawkgirl in a coma, Hawkman disbanded the Justice Society, but not before killing Icicle himself. Then superheroes entered the public's eye. Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, the Green Lanterns, and several other heroes stepped out in the open. They gave hope to a hopeless world. Being seen in public showed everybody that there were heroes out there, heroes to stand for what is right and stop the villains. Of course, other heroes stayed an urban legend, like the so-called Batman and his boy wonder sidekick. Eventually, even he came out. Realizing that a team of heroes is better than a single hero, no matter how super, Superman proposed that they form a team. They were approached by Hawkman and Hawkgirl, who had awoken from her coma, and the Justice League of America was born three and a half years ago, with Batman as their leader.

    The League immediately became celebrities. They made their headquarters in the Hall of Justice, a building in Washington D.C. However, the large number of tourists and reporters constantly standing outside the hall, taking pictures and trying to get a view of the heroes made things difficult. Because of this, the League's real headquarters was built: an orbiting satellite named Watchtower. The public doesn't know about Watchtower. The League has a teleportation pad in the Hall which sends them into Watchtower.

    Within their first year of operations, the U.S. government approached the League with a proposition: a Justice Academy for the superpowered. With the growing number of people finding themselves with superpowers, a school was needed to help them learn how to properly use their powers. The Academy employed several heroes, along with professional trainers, to train heroes-to-be. The League members helped (with a few exceptions), in order to prevent newly superpowered civilians from hurting themselves or, even worse, hurting others. The Academy even had a special program: giving superpowers (via genetic experimentation) to those without superpowers, as long as they were physically and mentally able to withstand the abilities. The League disapproved of this, but the government simply said, "Everyone wants to be a hero, even those without powers. And they could try. Unfortunately, they're not all like Batman." Not having any control over the government, the League couldn't stop them, but still continued to help with the Academy, while voicing their disapproval.

    With their celebrity status growing, the League found it difficult to take care of the more "covert" operations. Giving teenage heroes and sidekicks a chance to be heroes of their own, Batman formed Young Justice, a team consisting of younger heroes and sidekicks, to take care of things "under the radar." Batman sends them on secret missions while the League takes care of the more "obvious stuff." Unlike graduates from the Academy, Young Justice's members weren't trained officially, having been trained by themselves or their mentors. Young Justice's headquarters is Mount Justice, the League's original HQ off the coast of Star City. Batman, who had been growing suspicious of Cadmus Labs, formed Young Justice after the heroes broke into one of Cadmus' buildings and discovered Superboy, a Superman clone. They rescued the clone and he joined their ranks.

    Three days ago, Batman sent Young Justice to a building occupied by Cadmus Labs. Cadmus is supposed to be a genetic research organization, but Batman has been suspicious of them for quite some time. While picking up strange signals from the building, he was going to investigate, but was stopped by Mr. Freeze's latest plan: Freezing the Atlantic Ocean. So Batman sent Young Justice to the building while the League took care of Freeze. Young Justice never came back and their signal was lost. The League can't simply march into the building as it could cost a legal backlash, especially without sufficient reason as to why the young heroes were sent there.

    Realizing that Young Justice were trained by the League themselves, and not the Academy, Green Arrow figured the Academy's new graduates might be better trained for such operations. Creating a team all his own of young heroes fresh from the Academy, called Justice Cadets, Green Arrow is planning on leading them to save Young Justice.

    ~Know Your Role~
    Are you a team player?

    The Justice League of America

    "We could be a force that could truly work for the ideals of peace and justice."
    "So you want us to be some kind of...super friends?"
    "More like a Justice League."
    The Justice League of America was founded after the disbandment of the Justice Society of America (A similar, but secretive team of heroes). Superman suggested the team, with Hawkgirl and Hawkman offering their help. The founding members are: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, and the Green Lantern (Hal Jordan). Because of their celebrity status, they constantly find themselves in the spotlight, finding it hard to accomplish certain covert operations. Because of this, Young Justice was formed. They help train heroes in the Justice Academy as "Guest Teachers," without being employed by them. After Young Justice disappeared, the League decided to send a squad after them, forming Justice Cadets. The League is funded through Wayne Enterprises and Queen Industries.

    • Headquarters: Hall of Justice(Washington D.C.). Watchtower(Space).
    • Status: Public.
    • Leader: Batman.
    • Role: Except for Green Arrow and Batman, the League will be taking a "backseat" in the story. They will make appearances and will be needed, but the story is focused on Young Justice and Justice Cadets, at least at the beginning. If you play a League Member, you should have at least one other character from a different rank. The League are actual comic characters and they have a set list. If you think someone else should be in the ranks, I would, of course, add them upon request, if you wish to control them.

    2. Superman (Clark Kent/Kal-El)
    3. Wonder Woman(Princess Diana)
    4. Martian Manhunter (J'onn J'onzz)
    5. Green Lantern (Hal Jordan)
    6. Flash (Barry Allen)
    7. Aquaman (Orin)
    8. Green Arrow (Oliver "Ollie" Queen)
    9. Black Canary (Dinah Lance)
    10. Green Lantern (John Stewart)
    11. Hawkman (Carter Hall)
    12. Hawkwoman/Hawkgirl (Shayera Thal)
    13. Red Tornado (John Smith)
    14. Captain Marvel (William "Billy" Batson)
    15. Captain Atom (Nathanial Adam)
    16. Zatara (Giovanni "John" Zatara)

    Young Justice
    "Together on our own we forged something powerful, important."
    Young Justice was founded by Batman after the League came to the realization that their celebrity status prevented them from completing their more covert operations. The original members were tired of being treated "like kids" and wanted to be full heroes. The League refused to let them join. They stumbled upon a Cadmus Labs building and discovered Superboy, a clone of Superman. After freeing him, they decided they do work better as a team. They were formed after the League and the Academy. They tend to stay underneath the radar and still help their respective mentors frequently. Young Justice's missions usually tend to involve Cadmus Labs. After being sent to do recon on a Cadmus building after Batman picked up strange signals, they disappeared. Their respective secret identities are known only to who they reveal them to.

    • Headquarters: Mount Justice (Star City).
    • Leader: Undecided.
    • General: Batman.
    • Role: Young Justice need to be rescued by the Justice Cadets. Eventually, they will be, but until then, it's up to the Cadets to take the limelight and save them. After being freed, they will share the main focus of the story with the Cadets. Young Justice are actual characters from the comics. Their list is not set. The list below is just those who have signed up for the Role-Play, so their ranks are always open to anybody.
    • Members:

    1. Robin (Tim Drake) {I'm playing him until someone decides they want him. If you want him, let me know}
    2. Kid Devil(Edward "Eddie" Bloomberg)
    3. Beast Boy (Garfield Logan)
    4. Raven (Rachel Roth)
    5. Terra (Tara Markov)
    6. Superboy (Connor Kent/Kon-El)
    7. X

    The Justice Cadets
    "Wanna be a hero?"
    "Hell ****ing yes."

    After Young Justice went missing, Green Arrow realized that the team had one flaw: They were never officially trained to work as a team, only trained by their respective mentors. He decided graduates from the Justice Academy would be more suited for a task like Young Justice's and, after consulting with the League, formed his personal squad of young heroes. Batman and he will lead the team into Cadmus and rescue Young Justice. Their respective identities are known only to the officials of Justice Academy and the U.S. government. However, they're free to reveal it to whoever they so desire, despite the government's discouragement of such an act.

    • Headquarters: None.
    • Leader: Undecided.
    • General: Green Arrow
    • Role: The Cadets are, at the beginning, the heroes of the story and the main focus. They will share this with Young Justice after freeing them. Justice Cadets are the Original Characters of the Role-Play. If you make an OC, they'll go either here or in the next rank. Their list is not set and anyone can join at anytime.

    Academy Heroes
    "Son, have you seen the world? Well, what would you say if I said that you could? Just carry this gun, you'll even get paid."
    "Well, that sounds pretty good."

    This is the name given to superheroes who are not part of the League, Young Justice, or the Cadets. For story purposes, we're saying that every superhero is not part of the above three categories is a member of the Academy Heroes (Minus intergalactic heroes like the Green Lantern Corp). These heroes have the benefits of working for the U.S. Government, thus receiving pay and benefits. They are full-time teachers at the Justice Academy, when not fighting crime. Their identities are known to the Academy (Except the students) and the U.S. government. They are free to give their identities to whoever they wish, but are encouraged not to.

    • Headquarters: Justice Academy (Washington D.C.)
    • Leader: The U.S. Government.
    • General: Guardian.
    • Role: Academy Heroes do not have a role early on so they're wild cards (pretty much do whatever you want as long as you remember you're employed by the Academy). Later on, they'll have their role. Academy Heroes can be either OC (if they're older) or existing characters from the comics who are not part of the above ranks. Their list is not set and anyone can join at anytime.

    Villians
    "Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn."
    The bad guys. While they don't have their own group (seemingly), they are a threat. Superheroes need to take care of them constantly throughout the day. Some of their plans range from robbing a bank to blocking out the sun or freezing the Atlantic Ocean. Recently, several villains have strayed from their M.O. Is it possible someone has been gathering them?

    • Headquarters: Depends on the villain.
    • Leader: Depends on the villain.
    • Role: They're the bad guys, of course. At the beginning, a select group of villains will be working inside of Cadmus (notice I didn't say "with" or "for" Cadmus). They will be what stands between the Cadets and Young Justice. Villains can be OC or existing characters from the comics. Their list is not set and anyone can join at anytime. You can be a secret villain (working in Cadmus and for a secret team) or an open villain (You have your own objectives and plan).

    The Justice League's "headquarters." Some parts of the Hall of Justice are open to tourists and the press, including a balcony overlooking the library, separated from the lower room by a clear screen. However, the Hall is actually a tourist front, and the League's real headquarters is the Watchtower, which orbits in space. The entrance has statues of the founders of the League.

    ~Know Your Rules~
    Three strikes, you're out

    1. Obvious ones: No godmodding or powerplaying (which is hard to do here, I understand), proper grammar and spelling, Read all the rules, no excessive swearing (some is welcomed and encouraged), no heavy romance, be active or let someone know if you take a break or quit, etc.
    2. If you have any questions regarding anything or if you want help building a character, feel free to ask via PM, VM, or in the OOC Thread located here.
    3. Post characters in the OOC Thread located here.
    4. For every two characters of one rank (League, Cadet, Young Justice, Academy, Villain), you have to have at least one of another rank.
    5. Characters who start out in one rank can be promoted/switched to other ranks through their own actions in the story.
    6. You can have up to three characters from each of the four good ranks and five villains (if you take so many characters, keep up with them).
    7. I need someone to take Robin (I must approve you). I'll control him until we find someone, but after a certain point, I'll keep him. (The point will be some time after they're freed).
    8. The Justice League members are set, but if you think of another famous and important hero, I will add them if you're willing to play them.
    9. Lex Luthor is up for grabs, but he has to come in at a much later time.
    10. Please don't give me any "OH MY GOD, THAT'S NOT WHAT HAPPENED" about characters' lives. I'm willing to let minor changes happen and I will make some minor changes.
    11. Fill out a character form for Young Justice, Justice Cadets, and Academy Heroes. For League Members, just tell me who you want (I might require a sample post for League Members). Villains, tell me who you want. OC Villains, fill out a form.
    12. I am in dire need of villains, feel free to make/take any you want.
    13. I will control League members who aren't taken for "meetings." I don't want to control them all, so if you want to, please let me know xD
    14. I get most of my information, especially about lesser known characters from the DC Wiki.
    15. Do you know a Marvel superhero you like? Want to use him? Change his/her name, change their story a little bit and you have a DC OC : D (that's what I did >>)
    16. You can join any rank at any time. Just because the RP has started doesn't mean you have to be left out.
    17. Characters are first come, first serve.
    18. If I break any of my rules, it's because I'm God. I might let you break some, occasionally though. If you think your situation requires broken rules, let me know.
    19. If I add any rules, I will let you know.

    ~Know Where You Are~
    Where Each Team Starts
    Justice League and Cadets:
    Green Arrow and Batman are currently in one of Queen Industries planes, flying over Cadmus Labs, with the Justice Cadets. They will release the Cadets into the building from above after the RP starts. The rest of the League are either in the Watchtower, Hall of Justice, or doing their own thing.

    Academy Heroes:
    You are either at the Academy or doing your own thing.

    Villains:
    Secret Villains: You are in Cadmus. I will tell each of you where you are personally (assuming we get more).
    Open Villains: You are doing your own thing.
    Young Justice:
    Upon entering Cadmus Labs, Young Justice found a secret underground building, much larger than the actual above ground one. In it, they discovered several troll-like monsters. They also discovered the villain Red X who was attempting to steal something from Cadmus. However, they were all separated and knocked unconscious, including Red X. Each young hero found themselves captive in a single dark room. They were kept alive. For some unknown reason, none of them were demasked and Superboy, who was once Cadmus property, wasn't taken back. Everyone (except Robin) has a strange collar. The collar seems to be unbreakable and immune to most of their powers. It also functions as a shock collar. The villain Icicle is in charge of torturing them.
    Robin - is strapped to a table-like containment device. There are several belts strapping his legs, waist, arms, and head to the table, restricting all movement. His utility belt and hacking gloves were taken off. A voice has been taunting him these last three days. He's the only captive who doesn't have a special collar.
    Kid Devil - is chained to a wall by his wrists and ankles. His has a girdle-like metal clamp over his waist, holding his tail so he can't make a portal. He has a metal collar on his neck made of an unknown substance. He's been tortured by Icicle.
    Beast Boy - was given a collar similar to Kid Devil's, but elastic. No matter what animal Beast Boy turns into, the collar doesn't break. The collar is chained to the wall.
    Raven - has a collar like the others, but hers is around her mouth, preventing her from talking and wording spells. Along with that, her entire body is enveloped in a leather-like substance, keeping her from moving, talking, or seeing at all. Only her ears are open. She is constantly watched and shocked at any chance she might be using her powers.
    Terra - has her arms held over her chest in an X formation. They're kept there by the same collar as the others, but large enough to cover her entire torso. Her legs are also wrapped in such a collar. She is attached to the wall. Her room is made out of the same metal as the collar so there is no earth to manipulate. Just in case, she is constantly watched and at the slightest chance of her using her power, she is shocked. In some cases, she's just shocked just for torture.
    Superboy - is chained to a wall, just like the others, by his ankles and wrists. His chains are made of regular steel, but the section of the chains along his body have Kryptonite on them. He has a collar, just like the others. Without sunlight, he has no way to use his powers.
    Red X - Is hanging from a ceiling by his wrists. The chain is normal steel. He has a collar just like the others. His upper clothing has been removed (except for his mask) as well as his belt and shoes. His security is slightly more lax than the others, but at any strange movement from his body, he is shocked.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    OOC: JUST BECAUSE WE STARTED DOES NOT MEAN NO ONE ELSE CAN JOIN YOUNG JUSTICE OR THE JUSTICE CADETS. I HAVE IT FIGURED OUT SO IF SOMEONE JOINS, THEY CAN STILL JOIN IN. ANY NEW YOUNG JUSTICE MEMBER WILL SIMPLY BE ADDED INTO THEIR OWN CONFINEMENT ROOM. ANY NEW JUSTICE CADET WILL BE ON THE PLANE WITH OTHERS. IF A NEW CADET JOINS AFTER THEY JUMP OUT, THEY'LL SIMPLY BE ON ANOTHER PLANE WITH A DIFFERENT LEAGUE MEMBER.

    ~About five miles away from Cadmus Labs, a Queen Industries plane is flying towards it.On board the plane, Green Arrow and Batman are briefing the Cadets on the mission~

    Green Arrow was standing on red velvet. Behind him, a red curtain closed off the room from the pilot's cockpit. To his sides, red leather chairs were arranged, just as any plane has its seats. The seats were arranged by threes, three on each side, for a total of six in each row. To his left, Batman was standing, his cowl covering his entire body. Batman had been quiet this entire trip and watched the Cadets with narrowed eyes. The hooded archer sighed and looked at the team in front of him. "Alright, Cadets. I hope you're ready for your first mission. In just a few minutes, we will be over Cadmus' building. Now," he held back another sigh as he had to pretend that Oliver Queen and he were not one and the same, "Queen Industries, one of our...sponsors, for lack of a better word, let us borrow a plane. According to air logs, Oliver Queen is aboard this plane, not us. He is on his way to a vacation, so the plane will not stop." He let that sink in for a moment.

    "Wait," a hero with dark green skin said, standing up from his comfortable red leather chair. He was wearing black leather pants with light brown boots that reached his knees. His sleeveless shirt was a dark yellow, with a black collar and black sides. His left arm had a fingerless gauntlet, the same color as his boots. His right arm was heavily mutated, large with claws instead of nails. It had spikes coming protruding from it, with the largest coming out of his shoulder. Instead of hair, the new hero known as Greenscale had a rocky carapace, with two spikes in the center. "Not that I don't like sky-diving," he said, realizing what Green Arrow meant, "But we gotta jump out of this moving plane? And we gotta do it quietly, and get inside of this building? Without being seen? So...this means no parachutes?"

    At this point, Batman stepped forward, his eyes couldn't have been more narrowed. "That's right. You wanted to be heroes, well, here's your chance," his voice was quick and harsh, "All you have to do is find Young Justice. You can't simply march in, destroying everything." Batman studied Greenscale before moving his eyes to Sundra, "Your primary objective is to rescue the others. All six of them," He clearly emphasized the last bit. "The plan is to get as deep as you can, and rescue them." Batman's thoughts were clear. There was no "try" or "attempt;" The Cadets were GOING to rescue Robin and the others. Behind him, he could hear Green Arrow sigh slightly.

    ~Inside separate rooms in Cadmus, each Young Justice member is trying to break free~
    "Let us go!" A voice growled loudly in the darkness. After not receiving a response, bright fire lit up the room. Kid Devil looked around. He was still alone. He struggled to break his chains, but no avail. He pulled on his hands, tried moving his legs, attempted to free his tail, but nothing happened. "Damn it, Cadmus, LET. ME. GO!" He arched his head back and blasted fire at the ceiling, raising his body temperature to well over three hundred degrees. His steaming skin didn't even heat up his binds. After a few seconds, the fire ceased and died out. Nothing in the room caught fire. Kid Devil's body stayed steaming, but he started panting. He was deprived of food, drink, movement, and fresh air. He was tired. After a few more seconds, he heard footsteps approaching his room. He readied himself, his mouth heating up by the second once again.

    Sundra had her arms folded and her right leg resting on her left leg while Green Arrow, Greenscale, and Batman answered a few of her questions she had on her mind. So they were going to jump out of the plane, without parachutes, with the only one on the team who could fly. 'Sounds like the most amazing plan ever,' Sundra thought grimly. She was blessed with flight but lacked super strength, and Greenscale looked a little on the heavy side. Why couldn't they just have walked there, that was what Sundra was thinking. Clearly these people really wanted to test them out. The young heroine felt a pair of eyes looking at her, and looked up to see Batman observing her. Sundra kept her gaze on the hero through her mask, listening intently to every word he said. She couldn't help but to think, 'Yeah... this is either harassment or a test.'

    The girl looked away from Batman and glanced over at her other comrades. How in the world was she going to carry them? Well, that seemed like the only option to her anyways. If they wanted them to get the Young Justice heroes out of Cadmus, why were they making it so hard? Being in the sky meant that they were wide open to the eyes of the world. 'Unless everyone is focused on texting. Maybe we should send everyone in the city a forward to keep them occupied.' Sundra bit back a smile, realizing that she was going off subject in her own little world. She then looked over at Batman and became serious again. "I'm wondering if you guys are expecting me to carry Greenscale and Sonic Boy," Sundra started out slowly. "Because if you are, we might have a problem. I can carry one person up to one hundred and ninety pounds... but with the amount of people we have, it'll go over that limit and we'll plummet like a rock." Sundra unfolded her arms, letting them rest on the arm rests, and planted both of her feet on the floor, showing that she was being completely serious and trying to figure out the best options for her and the rest of the people that were going to be sent on this mission to save the others. "I'm not trying to be a pessimistic, but I'm just trying to figure out what would be the best way for us to do what you want us to do. Do we have jet-packs or anything that'll keep the people who can't fly afloat and keep us quiet?" Then thinking of another question, she spoke up again. "How high are we going to be from the roof of the building?"

    ~~~
    Raven was barely coming out of the darkness, becoming slowly aware of her surroundings. As she opened her eyes though... she couldn't even open them. Something was over them. When she tried to open her mouth to speak, she realized that she was gagged by something and couldn't say anything at all. The heroine forced herself to stay calm and then tried to wriggle around to figure out where the heck she was at and what was going on. She was trapped in something, she knew that much. Suddenly, she felt a jolt of electricity course through her body from her neck and yelled out in surprise only it was muffled by what ever was around her mouth. After what it seemed like for an eternity it stopped, leaving Raven limp in her prison. 'Obviously... they don't want me to try anything...'
    Sonic Boy looked at Green Arrow, then at Batman. The serious look on his face had made him feel threatened, the comment only made it worse; but Sonic Boy could understand where Batman was coming from. 'Well, he was the one who decided to form Young Justice so he probably feels that this is his fault.' He thought. Sonic Boy sighed and rested his head on his palm. He was glad that he was finally going on a mission, but sky-diving seemed a little extreme. He glanced at Sundra and heard her remark. "I'm not that heavy!" Sonic Boy chuckled. The tension felt high so he thought that a little comical relief was needed. He hoped that someone would at least chuckle so he knew if he lightened the mood.
    Terra was exhausted, hungry, and certainly frustrated. For what seemed like the millionth time, she tried using her powers on any kind of dirt she could find in her prison -- but there was nothing. Like all the other times she'd tried, a painful shock passed through her body. She pushed against her shackles, once again getting no result. Panting from hours of effort, Terra finally laid down on her side; with no clip to hold it back, her light blond hair formed a curtain over her face. She felt horrible, not only physically but emotionally as well. She hadn't been back with her friends for very long and now they were separated again with what looked like no chance of being reunited.
    "Beast Boy," Terra murmured her good friend's name. She could only hope that he and the others had gotten out, that they weren't in the same predicament as she was. Without warning, or any cause, another excruciating shock-wave wracked her frail body. Like other times before, her captors seemed to be toying with her. Terra glared through her hair; though there was no one in sight to glare at.
    "Just a little further..." Sounds of the chains' movements echoed quietly throughout the dark room as the male hanging from them swung back and forth. He had learnt his lesson from being shocked so many times that the collar he wore seemed to respond to any extreme movements he made. His body ached but he kept shifting his weight, keeping his body tense to avoid from moving enough to get shocked. He had been at it for what seemed like hours, trying to swing himself towards a nearby wall. What was his plan when he gained enough momentum to reach it? He hadn't thought that far, that would have to come later. He just had to accomplish something.
    There was a quiet thud as the masked captive planted his feet against the wall. He tried using both the tension in the chains and friction to keep from sliding down but it was hopeless, without his boots he couldn't hold his own and fell away from the wall. "Come on!" He growled as he danged from the ceiling, swinging back and forth. "When I get out of here I swear they'll pay." Red X was losing his patience, he hadn't even gotten close enough to what he wanted to steal. After nearly a year of being inactive the day he decided to break into Cadmus Labs was the same day he would not only get captured but run into some of the former Teen Titans, a group who seemed to remember him far too clearly. 'Just as long as I can break out before they can I won't need to worry about anything.'
    OOC: This red is a little too dark for my tastes. >> And Bueno, I'll be calling him X after he joins forces with the good guys. So Red X is only going to be used for a short while. XD
    EDIT: Eh. Fixed the red. <<
    Around twenty attempts at transforming (and the resulting shocks) later, Beast Boy was finally beginning to realize that he wasn’t getting anywhere like this. No matter what animal he would transform into, whether it was a mouse or an elephant, the collar would only adjust to his size and keep him stuck there to the wall. Though no physical energy was being taken from him during these transformations, and he wasn’t much of a quitter, he had started to learn during the time he spent in Young Justice to use strategy and his head—not just his ability, so he kindly shifted back into his original form and sulked with an echoing groan as a painful pulse of electricity shot through him.
    Though he was stuck here, chained to the wall, he could easily find the irony in the situation. A collar around his neck, like he was some kind of dog.
    “Well, this is fitting,†He thought out loud, listening to his voice bounce off of the darkness and back at him. His eyebrows were pushed together in thought, eyes searching and brain doing the same. His thoughts uncontrollably flitted to the rest of gang, pausing and focusing just a moment longer on both Terra and Raven and then (with a quick shake of his shaggy green locks) back to his current situation. “…Damn it.â€
    "This is no time for jokes!" Batman scolded at the young three Cadets.
    "What Batman is trying to say," Green Arrow stepped forward, interrupting the dark knight, "is that this your first mission after graduating. Your first mission as a team. And this mission is much more than life or death. You have to be serious and ready for anything," He told the Cadets, but his tone was much more sympathetic than Batman's. "But, what the plan actually is," Green Arrow stepped to the side, looking out of a small window. "Greenscale, you go first. You have the most dangerous part, so listen up," Green Arrow ran the plan in his head, wondering if it could work. "When you jump out, you CANNOT land on the roof, they might have cameras up there. You have to land on the side, grabbing hold of a wall." He received a raised eyebrow from the reptilian young hero, but no objection. "I know it's tough, but hey," he grinned and shrugged, "you're a superhero now." He pointed to Sunda and Sonic Boy next, "A few seconds after he jumps, Sundra, you and Super Sonic Boy fly out after him. However, since you can't fly as fast as...Superman, for instance, there's a chance Cadmus might detect you. So what you'll do," he raised his hands, trying to motion the plan out, "Is fly long enough until you're directly in line with Greenscale and then, you just fall. Your target is Greenscale. Then, he catches you and you sneak in through a window. Simple as that." He clapped his hands together as if the plan really was that simple.
    Greenscale looked out the window and walked to the door. The rest of the plan he already knew from what they told him earlier. "Yeah, that's simple," he said sarcastically as he rubbed his right arm. "Once inside, I have to remain in physical contact with Sonic and Sundra. That way, while I'm invisible," he looked at his two new teammates. He had talked to Sonic a few times, but none of the Cadets knew each other's secret identities. He wasn't sure if he trusted Sonic with his life yet, but Sonic had to trust him. Same for Sundra, but he had never talked to her before becoming teammates. "And they're invisible while touching me. Alright then," He held up his right fist, the rocky one, and clapped his bicep. "Let's save us some Young Justice!"
    -------------------------
    Kid Devil waited for the sound of a door opening in the dark. But instead, there was the slightest swish of an automatic door. Only somebody with enhanced hearing as him would have picked it up. "Who's there?" He growled. He was answered by a blast of cold to his face. Before he knew it, his head was encased in ice. "Graah!" He breathed no fire, but heated up his skin once again and the ice quickly melted. However, before he could react, a blow landed right on his stomach and made him groan. Moments later, he heard the sound of a switch and the room lit up. He groaned even louder, his yellow eyes hurting from the light.
    "Well, well, well, if it isn't Mr. Red Hot himself!" A laughing voice said. Icicle stepped back from punching Kid Devil. Icicle was of average height, slightly shorter than Kid Devil, but his white hair stood straight, making seem taller. He seemed like an average boy with a long face, minus the white hair, light blue skin encased in ice, and pointed ice shards sticking from his shoulder. "How's it...hanging?" He asked, before bursting into laughter.
    "Where are the others, you ice freak?!" Kid Devil demanded. Puffs of fire came from his mouth with each word, but he couldn't breathe any. His ability was uncontrollable after getting hit in his stomach.
    Icicle stopped laughing and smiled, raising an eyebrow, "Wouldn't you like to know?"
    ~In each of the Young Justice member's room, an intercom turns on and they all hear the same voice~
    "Hello, kiddies. I trust you're all comfortable? No? Well, that's perfect. It's time for you to realize why you should knock before you enter someone's home."
    Terra raised her eyes upwards, trying to find some sort of intercom or speaker where the voice was coming from but she couldn't see anything. The voice seemed to be threatening them -- as if they hadn't had enough taunting and torture. She rolled onto her back and kicked and pulled her legs in an attempt to break the shackles on them. As they did all the other times she'd tried, the shackles remained intact.
    If I just had one little bit of dirt, I could probably get the lock undone -- if there is a lock on these things. Terra hadn't given up completely yet. If anything, she was more determined to get out. The voice had addressed more than one person, that meant she wasn't alone. Her friends were still there, even if they weren't in the same room as she was.
    "Coward!!" Terra shouted to the darkness, anger building up inside her. "Fight me! I'll take you down in one hit!"
    Sundra smiled quietly, glad that they had a plan instead of letting them do this freestyle. Although the part where Greenscale had to free fall without any help kind of made her queasy. "Alright then..." Sundra said as she stood up from her chair; she accepted the plan even though she didn't approve of it all the way. "We'll do everything we can to bring the Young Justice home." She looked over at Greenscale and Sonic Boy, wondering how they were going to do this exactly. 'Trust,' was the simple answer that came in her head. She'd seen the both of them train, so she knew what each of them were capable of. If they worked together, she figured they could get this done quickly and easily. Sundra then looked over at Green Arrow with a determined expression. "How close are we to our destination?"
    Sonic Boy was taken back by Batman's comment. He soon felt bad, but then nodded at Sundra's comment. "We will succeed," he said, trying to make up (to Batman) for what he previously did.
    "Also Green Arrow, I can't fly....at all," Sonic Boy quietly said. He didn't want Green Arrow to be upset with him, as Batman was. After a pause, he slowly and calmly walked closer to Batman and looked up at his cold eyes. "I apologize for joking around earlier," he said sincerley. "It was immature and it wasn't the time, or place, for it." Sonic Boy hoped his words broke batman's hard outer shell on he forgived him.
    "Just a few seconds," Green Arrow replied after looking up at a clock. "Greenscale, get read-"
    "Hey, I see it!" Greenscale yelled loudly. "Let's do this!" Before anyone could react, he opened the door. He wasn't prepared for the sudden vacuum of air and was quickly sucked out.
    "Hey!"
    While taken off guard from being pulled out of the plane, Greenscale's Academy training kicked in and his tongue flew out of his mouth. His tongue stretched at least 6 feet and grabbed the bottom of the plane. He was now hanging from the plane with his tongue and started flying back, the wind pushing his body. He looked up to see Green Arrow looking at him from the door with a shocked expression. I wonder what Bats is thinking? Greenscale thought. He whipped his tongue and pulled himself to the bottom of the plane, his feet touching it. His tongue retracted into his mouth and he was hanging upside down "Let's go, Cadets!" He yelled into the plane, unsure if they could hear him from the sound of the wind. It wasn't an order, he was far from leader material, it was an invitation. He reached down (up) to grab the floor and kicked off. "Down, down, and away!" He grinned to himself as he thrust his right fist forward as he fell at high speeds. He straightened his legs and held his left fist near his body, mimicking Superman. The cold wind should have pushed his hair back as he fell, but he had no hair, just a rocky carapace. However, his lips were whipping back so hard, it was actually painful. As he approached Cadmus at increasing speeds, a realization hit him. Uh oh...I'm going to overshoot it! And just like he predicted, he was too far from Cadmus to get a grip. However, the training kicked in again. He threw his limbs out and looked at the building, shooting his tongue out. The tongue gripped between two windows and swung him in a full circle, like a propeller. "Aha!" He yelled as he laid his left hand, one foot, and a knee on the side of the building, sticking to it like a bug. He quickly looked up, waiting for Sundra and Super Sonic Boy.
    "Ya hear that? It's time to go!" Icicle yelled as he thrust his palms forward and sent a large amount of cold at Kid Devil. He could hear growling, but Kid Devil couldn't react since he was still suffering from being hit in the stomach. "What's wrong? Burning up? Let me cool you down!" Icicle cackled. When he laid his hands down, the entire room was frozen with giant icicles were everywhere. However, the opposite wall started melting after a few seconds, causing the room to fill with vapor. "Heh," was all Icicle said as he walked forward through the vapor. He heard a low growl and felt the heat rising. If he didn't do something soon, he would melt himself. The vapor started to clear, revealing a panting, out of breath, and steaming Kid Devil staring at Icicle. Icicle cocked his head to the side with a grin and punched Kid Devil in the stomach once again. A second later, he grabbed Kid Devil by the hair and slammed his head into the wall, knocking him out. "Now for the girl," Icicle whispered after swinging his hand. Water drops flew off, part of his skin having melted from making contact Kid Devil's hot skin.
    Minutes later, Icicle walked into Terra's room. He was still grinning as he walked in. He leaned his back against the wall opposite from Terra and crossed his arms. "Hey there, blondey," he said, chuckling.
    Sundra was standing by Green Arrow, looking down at Greenscale in surprise. "That's one way to use your tongue," Sundra said with a chuckle as soon as she saw that Greenscale was just fine. Although he wasn't graceful, he was resourceful. Now it was hers and Sonic's turn. Turning to face the other hero, Sundra smirked and went over to him and where Batman was, seeing that Sonic was trying to apologize for his little joke. She figured Batman really didn't want to say much right now since the situation was dire, so she just smiled before grabbing Sonic and said, "Wish us luck. Don't worry, we'll bring them back safely. We promise." Hoisting Sonic up, Sundra flew straight forward toward the vacuum of air, bracing herself for the onslaught of wind. Leaving the plane and getting out into the open air, Sundra was pushed backwards from the sudden wind but she steadied herself and kept her grip on Sonic as she maneuvered through the violent air currents so they weren't whipped around so much. Then the air currents stopped, and Sundra looked over to see that the plane was still going towards its "destination". "You alright, Sonic Boy?" Sundra asked as she started to fly towards (above) the area where Greenscale was waiting. Not waiting for his answer, Sundra squinted as she looked towards Cadmus building to see where Greenscale was. Seeing that they were above him now, Sundra took in a deep breath. "There he is... Okay, here we go. You ready?" The to-be-heroine hovered for a moment in the air, and then her and Sonic both began to free fall. As they fell down towards Greenscale, Sundra's little sunglasses on her mask went over the eye part, protecting her eyes from drying out as they started to pick up speed. Her heart was racing when she saw that they were getting closer and closer towards the ground, but she trusted Greenscale to do his job. 'Please let him catch us, please let him catch us...'
    “Hello, kiddies. I trust you’re all comfortable? No? Well, that’s perfect. It’s time for you to realize why you should knock before you enter someone’s home.â€
    Beast Boy’s eyes narrowed, his chin lifting as he became more alert and straightened up against the wall and his binds. He recognized the voice, and a low growl escaped him. His restless working his nerves, he finally shouted out in the direction of the voice.
    “You coward!†His voice echoed back at him once more and he sneered, resisting and struggling against his restraints and suddenly—stubbornly attempting another morph, this time into a much larger creature than he had attempted before. As soon as he started, he regretted it, wincing at the electricity and quickly returning back into his original size, only to continue trying. “Come get some, then!â€
    Terra sat up abruptly, bound legs folding underneath her. If looks could kill, Icicle would be dead ten times over. Not only had she just been called "blondey," but she also had an unmistakable feeling that Icicle was the one who'd separated and captured her and her friends. He looked frail and powerful at the same time. If she was able, she probably could have shattered him with a bolder.
    "You're lucky I can't use my powers," She growled, pushing against her arms' restraints to no avail. Now was her chance to get some information about the others. She demanded, "Where are my friends?!"
    Red X remained silent when he heard the voice over the intercom as it was only good news for him. It meant that there wasn't a plan to merely leave him and the others just hanging around forever. He hoped it was some sort of overly complex death machine that would be used as those were often the easiest to escape from. 'I just need to get my equipment back and then I'll be all set to go.' He knew exactly who the others were that Cadmus had captured and Red X had no intention of helping them escape unless it somehow benefitted him. If things went like he expected he figured that he might not even have to try so hard to break out on his own as he knew that "good guys" always had friends to break them out of a tough situation. 'It will only be a matter of time before their friends try and help them escape...'
    Sonic Boy was taken back from Sundra pulling him away from Batman. "Hey, what was tha-" He managed to blurt out before he was forced out of the plane. He was taken by surprise as he finally got a hold of himself. Sonic Boy shook his head and answered to Sundra, "Yes, I'm fine...now." Because he could never fly like most superheroes, free-falling wasn't as bad as he excepted. He thought it was exciting. Sonic Boy was about to shout with excitement but quickly stopped himself. 'This is a mission, not play. This is a mission, not play.' He replayed over and over in his mind to stay focused and on task. His excitement soon turned to worry, which then turned to fear as the ground was getting closer and closer; bigger and bigger. Then, he heard Sundra's question and replyed confidently, "Yeah, I'm ready." He saw Greenscale by the side of the building and tried to stay clam. He saw Greenscale train and knew he was good at quick thinking if things didn't go to plan, as he exhibited twice already on the mission. Sonic Boy managed to get a grip on his fear and overcome it. Greenscale was getting bigger and bigger as they continued to free-fall. "Are you ready?" he finally asked Sundra.
    "Heh, kid has spunk, you know?" Green Arrow asked Batman nervously as he watched the Cadets reach Cadmus. Seconds later, the plane was too far ahead for him to even see them. He closed the door, stopping the cold wind from reaching inside the plane. "That one might be trouble, though," he added as he turned around to see Batman giving an intense glare from beneath his mask.
    Greenscale couldn't help but grin. Who knew freefalling could be that fun? He made a mental note to try it again sometime as he watched his new allies approaching him. "Here we go, then," he muttered to himself. He was kneeling on the ground (and by ground, I mean on the wall), with his mutated arm out. Since that arm was strong enough to throw a car, that was the arm that was going to have to catch them. Just as Sonic Boy was inches away from meeting him, Greenscale realized one little mess up on his part and the other two might just die. The realization made him hesitate and he almost missed Sonic Boy, but he caught him by the arm at the last second....just in time to watch Sundra fly by him. "Damn!" He held Sonic Boy tight in his right arm as his own tongue flew down and stuck to Sundra's back, successfully stopping her fall. "You alright?" He asked, his voice slightly garbled by his tongue.
    Icicle grinned as he pretend to shiver. "Ooohh, and they say that I'm cold! You take the cake, princess!" He laughed as he started to approach her. "You should place nice with me. I mean, you rock my world!" His laugh wasn't as obnoxious as his previous one, but the room echoed with the sound of his laughter. "Ahh, I crack me up~" he said to Terra as finally reached her, stopping a foot away. "So you want to see your friends, eh? Here, let me take you to them. But," he put on an even more sinister smile as he cocked his head back, "Since you like being so cold to me, I'LL BE COLD TO YOU!" He yelled it as both his hands flew up and a beam of ice enshrouded Terra. "Now what do you say to that?" He asked sarcastically as he stopped, looking at her. She was now encased in ice from her toes to her neck, stopping just below her containment collar.
    The ice was terribly cold but it didn't cool down Terra's temper. The idea of trying to break out of the ice did cross her mind; but if she struggled she might just tip herself over. Terra's breath created a fog as she exhaled, hanging her head. Feigning defeat was her best plan at this point. If she could just act complacent long enough to get to her friends -- any of them -- she might have a better chance of busting out of her restraints. She bit her tongue to hold back the many curses she wanted to shout at Icicle.
    Just stay calm. You're in control of this. Once you're out, you can take him down. Terra was very glad that the collar couldn't read thoughts, else her plan probably would have been given away. Head still hung, breath misting the air between her mouth and the ice, Terra answered, "I still say you're a coward. You're just scared that you'd lose in a fair fight."
    Icicle frowned and shrugged, throwing his hands into the air. "Who said I wanted to fight?" He closed the distance between the two and laid a frozen hand on Terra's forehead. "But if you want a fight, alright then! I'll let you loose and you can take out all your anger with your fists!" His voice was excited, but a darker undertone was beneath it. "But first, I'm already tired of your mouth. Let's shut that off," He placed a hand over Terra's mouth and when he pulled it away, there was a sheet of ice muffling her lips. "Now, let's go give you a fair fight~" He walked behind her to where the chain connected to her collar was also connected to the wall. He reached into his pocket, pulled out a remote-looking device with a small bulb on it, and placed it on the back of her collar. A tiny golden chip inserted into a tiny hole in the collar and the light on the remote lit up red. "Now we set you free," he whispered as he pressed a button, "Well, somewhat," he added, chuckling as the light on the remote turned green. The chain fell away from the collar, leaving Terra still bound by her constraints and Icicle's ice, but not connected to a wall. "And away, we go!" He said as he lifted her up and put her on his shoulder, like she was nothing but an insignificant bundle of carpet.
    If it was possible for Terra to get any angrier, she did. She was so close! Icicle hadn't let her walk, but getting out was still a good step forward. For the moment, she let herself be handled like an inanimate object. She would have loved to say something to Icicle but the chilling ice over her mouth blocked her words. Her mind worked together a more solid plan: Icicle had said he'd give her a fight. This was working in her favor. Hopefully the others were as clever as she was.
    OOC: Yeah, it's short. ... Look for the pun! xD
