"Um... I don't know that much about this JAC, I'm not really from Core ya see," Niles said, raising his hand slightly...

 

"I know enough. I've done a couple of jobs for the Soul Knights before." Alex said. Hopefully this wouldn't blow up in his face. Some people respected his work as a mercenary and assassin. Some thought he was a vile disgusting creature to kill people he'd never met for money.

 

"Tera, these friends of yours?" the woman at the counter asked.

"Yeah, here's Alex, Niles, and Roxanne," Tera Roth said. "This here's Janet; she runs all the paperwork. Anyway, so what brings all of you here? Osidia?"

 

"My assignment is to meet up with the Soul Knights, which I guess is you, and assist them on their mission. So yeah, Osidia it is." Alex said, scratching his head. He didn't know why the Soul Knights wanted him to come (and were paying so much to get him to do it). But Osidia? That's just a myth. Maybe the Soul Knights know something he didn't.

 

"Well, I just need some money right now," Niles said.

 

"Ditto on the money..." Roxanne muttered,sighing "And the oppurtunity to face some danger and adventure as well..."

 

"Wow. We're all greedy, aren't we? All in it for the money." Alex said, feeling slightly bad. Then again, money makes the worlds go 'round, so what was he gonna do?

 

"I'm not greedy, its this or not eat for a month," Niles said.

 

OOC: My internet had a hiccup.

BIC: "Well," Tera Roth said, "how about that one assignment...um, Soul Knights..."

"While you think, how about delivering those packages for me?" Janet asked, sipping a soda and motioning to several large crates full of large packages. "They're to go the cafe in Sector 4."

Tera Roth looked to the group. "What do you think?"

 

"Thats my type of mission," Niles said, "Lets get going,"

 

"...crates?" Alex said, exasperated. Hefting one of the crates he said, "Jeez! What do you got in here? Rocks?!?"

Gaining his balance after lifting such a heavy box, Alex asked "Okay, which way to Sector 4?"

 

"......I guess that's a start..." Roxy said as she shrugged, watching them lift the crates, "...."

 

Another day, another patient healed. The work was often repetitive, but Venture could handle it. It was his job as a doctor to heal any patients that wandered into his office. Especiallyl on his world. He even held no charge. Of course, he had to pay the bills somehow, and also had a job as proffessor in a local college. He lived with his wife peacefully in his village, doctoring anybody who needed help. Until that day......

It was the annual village meeting and Venture had left to go on a research expedition on another world. Usually nothing special happened on those meetings, but that day, the wasteland bandits attended under a new leader. And they'd demanded more land. Of course the village leaders couldn't give the bandits the land expansion they wanted as the land was going to be used to build expand the village and the bandits already had enough land. Arguments followed and the bandits were threatening to attack the village. This commmotion was enoughed to plunge the whole world into chaos. The heartless attacked.

When Venture returned he'd found a wasteland. A world covered in shadows. Not knowing if his wife and friends and patients survived or not, Venture wandered...and wandered. He thought about rejoining the U.P.A...but he could never go back. Not after what had happened previously...But his fighting spirit was awakened. He needed it if he was to find out what had happened to his world. He soon arrived at a world he'd found on his map. Walking around the crowded streets, he arrived at the Job Application Center. Looking around at the strange group of people surrounding him, he started signed up.

Tera Roth grabbed a small package and snickered to himself. "It's to the north...I'll lead you there."

 

OOC: Aw, bye DK! See ya when I see ya!

BIC: "Great" Roxanne smirked as she grabbed a light package, "Let's go"

 

"The.. north? Okay!" Alex said. He began walking in what he believed was a northernly direction, and hoped he didn't drop this box on his foot. It was so heavy for him. All the others had picked up the light stuff. 'course he'd have to do all the work.

 

OOC: Sorry, guys, from now on don't expect me here on Teusdays. And I might not be here tomorrow. This has been a repeated OOC from the UO2 thread to the OS thread.

BIC: Tera Roth led the group down the winding streets, pointing out highlights along the way, and waving hello to nearly everyone on the streets, who smiled and waved hello to him left and right.

 

OOC: Mmkay.

BIC: "Jeez, who don't you know in this town?" Alex muttered, as he followed Tera Roth through the city while carrying his heavy box.

 

OOC: OK, so here's the deal - Tonight, I can be on, if anyone gets on. Tomorrow night, I'll be on a campout. Saturday I can probably get on. The whole next week up to next Sunday is fine. But then I'm leaving to Scout Camp for the entire week, so don't expect me back until the next, next Sunday.

BIC: Tera Roth frowned. "Good question, I'll ask."

Turning to a random person, he asked, "Good morning, do I know you?"

"No," the man said. "But you waved, so I waved back."

Tera Roth smiled and thanked him, then kept walking. And waving.
