"Good work! Though... you don't usually pack explosives of that caliber.... do you?" Xegreny asked.

 

OOC: Ah, but...

BIC: The serpent had actually not blown apart, but was merely knocked unconscious by Nulix.

"Good job," Xane complimented.

OOC: Ol' Snakey can't die yet.


BIC: Tul Raijin had returned to Asgard via ship. He walked quickly towards the stadium...

 

"Man, I uh, stole that explosive from the U.P.A. a while back for emergency's, it was in my pants pocket, and I figured that being eaten by a Serpent was an emergency, so I used it." Nulix said, "Thanks Xane. Anyway, whats going on other then my fantastic win?"

 

"Nothing much," Xane said. "Some girl with an unfortunately long name was lookin' for Enigma."

 

"So whats going on with that traitorous scumbag?" Nulix asked, referring to Enigma, "Have we decided what to do with that Brotherhood double crosser?"

 

OOC:School is tomorrow, so I have to go to bed early. :(

"What...? Enigma's a traitor?" Xegreny asked incredulously, before being thrown into the arena.

When he got there, his opponent entered the ring. He was a simple looking old man, wearing a plain white tunic. In one hand, he held an exquisitely detailed longsword, and the other, a beautiful shield. He had long white hair, and a short beard. His cold blue eyes showed a strength and intelligence betraying his many years. "Hello," he said quietly. "My name is Balder. I shall be your opponent for this battle."

"Uhh. Hi! My name's Xegreny." Xeg said, surprised at his appearance. You'd think that a God would wear clothes a little more opulent. But I guess not Balder.

For a few moments, neither moved. "Umm... you ready, Balder?" Xeg ask awkwardly, thinking that the god would strike.

"When you are." The old man said quietly, like he was daydreaming.

"Uhh.. Okay!" Xeg said. Taking a fighting position, he fired off a blast. None too strong, just to see the extent of Balder's defense. Like a blur, the old man raised his shield and deflected it.

"Come now. I can tell from looking at you, your much stronger than that. I'm a god, not an old man." Balder said. Lunging in with super-human speed he bonked Xegreny on the head with his shield and kicked him into the wall.

Xeg picked himself up and coughed. He'd not only been surprised by Balder's speed, but how hard he hit as well, not to mention getting the wind knocked out of him. Leaping into action, Xegreny shot some blasts off at Balder, which he deflected as expected. Taking advantage of this, Xeg ran in and kicked the shield as hard as he could. It went flying away and lodged itself into the wall. With his defense gone, Xegreny lined up and blasted him with a ton of energy. To a normal person, it would've felt like getting hit by a train.

When the smoke cleared, there was a huge hole where Balder's stomach used to be. The God of Rebirth smiled as the hole healed quickly. "Like I said. You'll have to try much much harder."

"...wow." Xegreny said in shock. He'd seen some people regenerate before, but never like that!

"Now, where were we?" Balder said, holding out his hand. Nearby, the shield dislodged itself and flew to his hand. With an 'oomph' he threw it at Xegreny, narrowly missing his head. He then dove in for a slice with the sword.

The fight went on like this for awhile, Xegreny attacking, Balder regenerating, Balder attacking, Xegreny getting hurt. Xegreny's quick thinking, and battle experience kept him from getting hurt too badly.. but he was bleeding from multiple wounds, and probably had a concussion. This battle would soon be over if he didn't find a way to end it.

"You.. just.. don't stop do you?" Xegreny growled, punctuating each syllable with a blast to a vital area of Balder's body. The heart, the lungs, the brain, the neck, each time the damage was healed as quick as it had come. And Xeg was no better for it.

Balder expressionlessly kept the battle going. He swept at Xegreny with his sword with blazing speed, and smacked him with his shield with bone shattering strength. Inside however, he was at his limit. Age and fatigue had taken their toll, and he wouldn't be able to keep the battle going for much longer.

In a ditch effort, Xegreny lunged in, and knocked Balder's shield away with a quick kick. He followed up with a point blank blast, with every ounce of energy he had left in him. The resulting blast of light and sound blinded the arena for a moment. Xeg shuffled away, while he could still stand.

The light faded and there was Balder. Looking like he'd never been hurt.

"Good..job.." He said in that same quiet tone, and collapsed to the ground. He wasn't dead. Just exhausted. Helpers picked him up, and brought him home. Before they left, they reassured Xegreny that he was fine. Xegreny simply nodded and limped out of the arena.

 

OOC:Have to go to school now. :(

 

OOC: You guys are doing really well on your fights...

BIC: Enigma skidded up as Xegreny exited the arena. "Bellatrix is fighting right now," he said, "and I think she could use some support. If you know anything about the Furies..."

He shook his head. "Just go and help her. I have my next match coming up."

 

"I'm... not really.. up to that." Xegreny muttered. "Am I even allowed to do that?"

Shrugging, he walked slowly over to the arena in which Bellatrix was fighting. Before he could get onto the field however, he was swamped by medics insisting he needed help, and warriors who wanted him to feast with them to celebrate his victory over Balder.

 

“Annoying mortal!†Alecto hissed as she dove ahead of her sisters and tried to land a blow to her face. Bellatrix quickly caught her fist but didn't see the other claw coming straight at her side. She gasped as pain ran through her body, only multyplying as Alecto twisted her claws trying to make the wound worse. Bellatrix snarled and elbowed her in the face with her free hand. Alecto pulled back, surprised, when Megaera and Tisiphone came to her help and grabbed Bellatrix's arms.
“Now let's see you defend yourself†Alecto smiled cruelly before punching Bellatrix in the gut. She let out a cry of pain and hung her head, careful to not let them see the smirk on her face. As Alecto went for another hit, her wrist was caught by Bella's chains.
“What the!?†She quickly backed up, trying to free herself when the Avenger and Grudging hissed in annoyance as well. As soon as her hands were freed, Bellatrix backed away from them and watched in delight as they struggled to free themselves.
“How is this possible!? Your hands weren't free to grab them!†Tisiphone screamed.
“They're a part of me, and if I'm in trouble I can make them come alive†Bella smirked, taunting them.
“Lies!†Megaera hissed and to everyone's surprise, she bit the chains. The venom from her fangs dripped onto the dark metal, dissolving it. She looked up and met Bell's surprised gaze, her eyes a bright, fiery crimson. Bellatrix realized she was frozen to the spot, rooted as memories plagued her again. Its their eyes....
But before Bella could do anything, she was already on her knees again, the Fates surrounding her whispering again. The dissolving chains behind them.
“Tell me, young one....how many lives did you destroy?†Tisiphone whispered.
“How many families did you separate?†Alecto hissed.
“How many dreams did you crush?†Megaera snarled.
“I did what I had to do!†Bella yelled, trying to defend herself. She tried to shut her eyes, to block it all out, to silence their mesmerizing voices.
“You know damn well that all your sins could have easily been avoided!†Alecto backhanded her, sending Bell sprawling to the ground.
“You had all the influence of your world and yet you still chose the wrong path!†Megaera kicked her.
“You're a creature of evil, of course you would say that†Tisiphone snarled as she stepped on Bellatrix's right arm, sounds of breaking could be heard. But not only from her arm. The pain caused Bellatrix to open her eyes and look into those of the Erinyes, whose hate and disgust could easily be seen. She could hear their thoughts loud and clearly. Alecto's....You're nothing but a waste of space that destroyed your whole world.....Megaera's.... You're just like that Atlantean goddess, Apollymi, goddess of destruction and chaos. Tisiphone's....You should never have been created or allowed to live. Everyone would be better off if you were destroyed.
Maybe everyone would be better off...Bella sat up, listening to their sharp words and insults. A part f her wanted to give in, succumb to their final judgment and blow. But another part told her that was idiotic. The Fates only knew her dark deeds. As with everyone else they had ever judged, they never saw the good in someone. After all, there wasn't anything bad as long as there was good to compare it against. Bellatrix smirked, her head hung low, as she felt the Fates' hold on her loosen. Her chains appeared in her hand again as she gave a hard yank.
Instantly Megaera and Alecto were knocked into each other and with another solid yank, they were thrown into Tisiphone. All three snarled in surprise and scrambled to get up. Bellatrix chuckled as she yanked again, this time sending Meg and Alec flying. Tisiphone watched in horror when she saw the spikes from Bella's chains were still embedded in their wings.
“Just because they're not seen doesn't mean they're not there!†Bella explained before tackling her to the ground. The other two were distracted as they tried to dislodge the spikes. Bellatrix and Tisiphone exchanged blows as each tried to gain the upper hand. It went on for a while before Bellatrix finally managed to put the Avenger in a sleeper hold and watched in relief as she stopped struggling and slumped to the floor.
“One down two to g-!†Bellatrix was suddenly flying through the air as Alecto lifted her in the sky. Megaera meanwhile was trying to wake Tisiphone up.
“You little pest!†she shrieked and as soon as they were high above the arena, too high to even see it, Alecto let go. Bella screamed as she fell to the ground at a terrifying speed before quickly tugging on her chain once more. This had better work. A cracking and splattering sound could be heard as Bella made her landing...right on top of Megaera. She lay under Bella, both had broken bones but Meg was in a way worse shape but still alive. As Bell had been falling she managed to tug her across the ring again. Knowing she would be concerned for Tisi, she would try to get back to where the Avenger lay unconcious. Thankfully the timing had been perfect or Bella wouldv'e been roadkill. Now there was only one left to deal with.
She heard Alecto's scream of anguish as she saw the scene below her.
“You disgusting nobody!†she shrieked as she charged at Bella, her fangs exposed, her eyes full of murderous rage.

OOC: Lol, sorry I'm dragging this out so much...Next one is the last part. Oh and thanks DK, Pirate! ^o^

 

Wing looked into Xardius eyes and sighed.

"My friends are missing...They are supposedly in this universe...and I was wondering...Can Flame feel flame?"

Wing looked away for a second, then back to his old friend...there was no doubt in his mind that they had met many times before the fateful day when Darius saved Coa and the day Xardius came to the world that never was.

 

OOC:Sorry. My dad is a teacher at the school, and I don't have a license yet, so he is the only one who can take me home, and there was a meeting that last until 6:00........I just now was able to get on the computer, after starring at a wall, more or less, for the past 3 hours.

 

OOC:Hey Jaxed! Are you still fighting Ares?

 

OOC:Yup, as soon as I find a way to wrap it up.

 

OOC: Wow, three hours? That sucks...XP
Anywho! Last part! Now, who to fight next....Unfortunately I only know about Greek and Atlantean gods, so anyone wanna help me out? XD

BIC: “How dare you hurt them! You will pay for that you worthless piece of s-!” Bellatrix tackled her, careful to avoid her fangs, and quickly rolled away. Alecto quickly got up only to be round house kicked in the face. She staggered back and received a punch to the stomach. With a hiss she doubled over and was shoved to the ground. As Bella circled her, Alecto reached out and pulled her leg, sending her crashing to the ground. She saw Bella reaching for her chain a few feet away, having slipped out of her reach when she fell, and pulled Bell closer to her and farther from her weapon.
Bella flipped over on her back and tried to kick Alecto away but she merely dodged and bit Bellatrix's leg. Bellatrix screamed and struggled even harder to get away as the venom from Alecto's fangs coursed through her. As if her breath wasn't painful enough, the venom was like liquid fire burning her from the inside. She thrashed and finally managed to kick Alecto in the face, forcing her to let go.
Bella grinded her teeth together as she tried to withstand the pain. She was exhausted though, not having been in battle in a while, and the Fates had left her pretty banged up. Alecto seemed to be in the same shape she was in. She guessed the Fates didn't have to fight much considering the people they usually persecuted were weak and fearful. And with the ability to make the person see all their horrible deeds with one look into their blood red eyes, it usually made their work quick and easy.
Now as both tried to catch their breath, Bellatrix knew she had to end this here and now. Neither of them could keep this up and neither wanted to call this a tie. Bellatrix staggered to her feet and Alecto did as well. They both glanced at each other and knew this was it.
Alecto charged, her wings extended to their full width, her body like a rocket determined to take her down.
Bellatrix charged right at her, her chains gripped tightly in her hand, pain and determination burning in her eyes.
The crowd watched as the two opponents charged at each other, neither with any intention of backing out.
Just before the two met, Bella whipped out her chain and wrapped it around Alecto's wings. Before she could react, Alecto was whipped high up in the air and with her last bit of remaining strength, slammed Alecto head first into the ground. After a few tense moments, Alecto fell to the ground, completely unconscious.
Bella collapsed to her knees, relieved. Her match was finally over....her first match...Bell groaned in realization. She still had more matches to go. She sighed when suddenly the pain made an entrance. Her arm was broken, a couple ribs were broken, plenty of scratches, and Bella suddenly remembered the huge gash in her side. She had forgotten all about her wounds and with the venom, the pain had returned tenfold with a vengeance.
She looked up as a few people came to help her out. At least her next match wouldn't be for a little longer.

OOC: Meh...

 

Xane ran up to check on Bellatrix. As he descended the stadium steps, he commented, "Damn...They got you pretty bad..."

 

OOC: Utterly awesome Hidden! You're really good at these...

Xardius sighed. "I thought as much. Yes...but there's a lot of flames out there. Give me a description of your friend."

Wing did, as much as he remembered, and Xardius closed his eyes.

Xardius nodded, and with that in mind, stretched out. Sweat streaked down his brow as he reached out, extending himself farther than he'd ever had to, forcing himself past every barrier he'd ever done. He felt himself ripping out of his body, but he ignored it and pushed harder. Suddenly, it came to him, and he snapped back to himself, stumbling backwards, breathing heavily.

Enigma ran up to Bellatrix. "That was quick. Let's see..."

He yanked out something and threw it in the air, shooting it with his pistol with one hand and slashing runes with the other. Then as the bottle fell to the ground, he placed a hand on Bellatrix's forehead, all her wounds knitting together.

"I've neutralized the poison; this one wasn't that difficult," Enigma said, picking up the bottle and stuffing it inside his cloak. "It'll run out of your body as normal water, so don't worry about it. Take it easy for a bit; you'll still be weak from loss of blood for a bit."

Standing up, Enigma wiped more sweat from his brow. "Round 2 will be starting soon..."

EDIT OOC: School starts in two days for me, FYI. But it's my senior year, and I'm not taking hard classes, so I should be on often enough.

 

Stealthily, Raijin moved closer towards his target. Xardius. This would be no easy task, even for a former Dai Jee like himself. Xardius was practically a god, but he was not invincible. Tul Raijin used the last bits of the power he'd previously gained to blend in with the environment, seamlessly...H was dangerously close to Xardius' location.

 

"Oh right. I come out of a fight with broken bones and less energy than a battery, and you don't do a thing." Xegreny scoffed, watching Enigma heal Bellatrix. "Great job by the way Bella!"

Xeg sighed as he cracked his fingers, and dredged the last of his strength to heal his wounds. He wouldn't be able to use energy for awhile, but he wasn't going to bleed to death anymore.

"So, what monstrosities will we be facing next?" Xeg asked Enigma, since he pretty much knew everything.

OOC: You make it sound like Xardius is working. 10% remember? Ten perceennntt. >|
