"Well, technically, I was talking to my team, but if you're on it, then whoop!" Xardius said, blinking at the new kid. "And I can't really say it's a pleasure meeting you...I hate little kids who think they're really strong...like Vexneah. But she has the viability of being a member of the UO."

Suddenly, two monstrous birds rushed from above, their screeches drowning out the cheers of the crowd.

Xardius flicked back a piece of hair. "After this battle, I'll remember you kid. Let's do this."

OOC: I'll let you hit 'em first.

BIC: The announcer yelled above the noise, "Round 1! Pyrolisks! Begin!"

Stats appeared on the screen above. HP: 176, BD: 20, EXP: 423, Gil: 500
Special: Evasion produced by its flying capabilities; expect it to dodge every other turn

Current Stats of Fighters. HP: 1000, BD: 100
Xardius' Current Stats. HP: 200,000, BD: 300

EDIT OOC: Pirate you can join by jumping in and another Pyrolisk will drop down.

 

Liam charged the monstrous birds, and took a slash at the one on the left hand side, but when he tried to do another, something stopped him.


"turn based combat?!" He shouted running back to the line.

 

"Meh," Xardius said in answer, stepping forward and drawing the Dueling Dragon from his cloak.

The bird died.

EDIT OOC: Well, we could have something like...You can attack as many times as you want in your post, so you don't have to worry about your allies. However, you can't attack "their opponent", and include your opponent's attacks into your post. Also include specials, such as above. So you don't have to wait for people.

 

OOC: i think i understand.

BIC: Liam whistled low watching Xardius in Action. "They were right about you big boy. I guess Wing knows how to pick his body guards...hes to wea-"

He was cut off by his opponants attack, causing him 200 hp.

"Stupid bird!" He said throwing his sword like a boomerang, "Sworderang of the Dark!" With the attack name said, the sword burst into a spinning blade of darkness, it hit the bird, and the bird fell to the ground, but managed a fire spell before dying...causing Liam 400 hp.


"Well I got what I wanted" liam said after the fight. "Good luck with the Brat...We'll be sure to meet again. Next Time, i'll prove how weak the boy really is." liam walked away, laughing like a mad man before vanishing in a Dark Corridor.

 

OOC: Technically the bird would only have taken off 20 HP...

BIC: Xardius stared after him. "Hey, the fight's just begun stupid!"

Cockatrices, huge fat waddling birds, waddled forward out of a door, squawking.

Stats: HP - 200, BD - 1, EXP - 186, Gil - 80
Special: Instant kill every three turns

"Crap!" Xardius said. "Well, maybe I can do this..."

 

OOC: Sorry....i was always confused with the formula's for Obsidion Sky...and i didnt know we were in the figts still sorry lol *rubs head sheepishly*


BIC: Meanwhile Liam appeared in an odd world, gray sky and damp smell in the air. An ominious castle loomed in the distance.

"Perfect...they made it." He said eyeing two individuals. Liam then pulled out a Mobile and dialed the all to familiar Number.

"Why hello there, I trust your making your way to your Friend now?"


"Yes..." Came Shadow's Voice on the other line.


"Well you better Hurry...He may be in more trouble then you realize!" Liam hung up the phone, cutting Rain off as she grabbed Shadows phone...His crazy laugh rang in their ears.


"I'm really beginning to think this is all a trap Shadow..."

"Me too, but we cant take the chance to be wrong and let Wing Die."

"I agree but..."

"We'll watch our backs."

Rain sighed and the two continued through the dreary castle... careful to avoid the corpses that lined the walls.

 

OOC: Time to finish up my fight.

BIC: Sweat mixed with blood as Xane pulled himself off of the ground. He had enough stamina to...WHAM!!! Heimdall struck him once more with the boulder he'd pulled from the ground. Heimdall never ceamed to cease in his assault, but Xane wasn't ready to give up yet. Heimdall reared the rock back for another strike...As the boulder began it's descent, Xane quickly clutched it in his hand and pulled it away. Stepping on it and crushing it, Xane held up his fists and began to strike once more.

One hit to the stomach. A jab at the nose. A chop to the neck. A kick to the head. Xane continued a relentless assault. Heimdall was nearly helpless and that made him grow angry. Blocking one of Xane's punches with his bleeding hand, he used the last weapon he had. The horns on his helmet. He threw Xane's arm away, causing to make a loud snapping sound. Xane's arm was pulled out of his socket and was forced to lean on the wall to balance himself, as Heimdall kicked one of his legs back like a mad bull. He charged. Xane used his good arm to place a hand on Heimdall's helmet in an attempt to hold him back.

Heimdall kept on pressing forward. If things continued as they were, Xane's other arm would brake under Heimdall's attack and he would be speared by the helmet. Xane sighed and looked down at the ground. There were many different types of warrior. Skill was as important as strength. Concentration would often be key to victory. So, Xane used the last of his strength to pull his arm back into place and use it deliver a hook at Heimdall's jaw. The god stumbled backwards and fell to the ground, unconscious.

Xane walked out of the arena with a victory, happy that he'd been able to survive all of that. Wiping blood and sweat from his forehead, Xane dragged his way to the tournament's medical center.

 

Meanwhile, Xardius sliced a Cockatrice apart, the next one beginning to focus. He took its large head off before it could release its beam of kill-gaze energy.

Next up. Xardius twisted to face the two Gargoyles that dropped out of a higher hole, lancing towards him.

Stats - HP: 320, BD: 12, EXP: 132, Gil: 80
Special: Damage reduced by 25% because of thick skin

"Dagnabbit," Xardius muttered as the Gargoyles advanced. "Eat steel punks."

Running forward, he kicked one of the gargoyles in the head, twisting with the blow of the other as it tackled him. Using it as a launch-board, he flew through the air upwards at the one as it attempted to flee, splitting it in half with Chomper. The other one hit him from below, but he grabbed and slammed his fist into its face.

Dazed, it released him, then charged at him again as he landed on the arena wall. Xardius swung simply, slicing it in two.

"If I was evil," he said to the crowd. "I wouldn't let them touch me."

Another gate opened...

EDIT OOC: WOW! Good job Pirate! Help?

 

OOC: Thanks. And sure.

BIC: Xane yawned as the doctors and nurses bandaged his body up. Turning towards the monitor in the corner of the room, Xane saw Xardius was in some sort of survival fight. Xane shrugged off the medics surrounding him and stretched his arms out.

"After that, I think I can handle random monsters bein' thrown at me," Xane explained to them. With that, he walked towards the arena below. As Xane made his way inside he asked, "Need some help, old man?"

 

"Er, well, actually..." Xardius said. "But this is supposed to be a team effort."

Two anacondas raced in, bigger than most. They hissed and lanced at Xardius, who smacked one in the head. It nearly died then and there.

"I'll finish this one, you take the other one," Xardius said.

Remember folks, the board said. Your HP is 1000, and your BD is 100!

Anaconda Stats - HP: 320, BD: 22, EXP: 165, Gil: 50
Special: Its damage increases 25% for every strike it takes

OOC: By the way, you don't really have to worry about the EXP and Gil. I've got you covered there.

EDIT: Lol, Xardius seems to be trying to be confident...

 

"Hp? What does he mean by-" Xane started ask as he was interrupted by an anaconda. Without hesitation, he punched the monster away.


OOC: Sorry for the slow reply. I had to wash dishes.

 

OOC: I hear you there...

BIC: Xardius took the head off of his snake. "Next up," he said, spinning the Dueling Dragons.

 

Xane cracked his knuckles as he prepared for the next set of monsters. Though, he couldn't help wincing when he did.

 

LAST FIGHT! The board said. Mummies!

Mummy - HP: 320, BD: 30, EXP: 300, Gil: 300

Two mummies rushed Xardius and Xane. One tackled Xardius who rolled with it and flung it into a wall, then speared it before it could get up. Yanking his sword from it, he slicked the Dueling Dragons into its sheath, and decided that he was going to use a katana for these fights...

 

Wing saw a moniter in the corrner, Xane and Xardius were in a match against random monsters... Turning to Nulix and Crissilia Wing sighed.


"i wish i could join in..." He then walked back to the area and took a front row seat, legs and arms crossed, slouched down in the chair.


"Well i may not be in the game but that doesnt mean i cant help out a little." he said with a smirk, and then with a snap of his fingers, Xardius and Xane were both surrounded by Wind shields.

 

Xane kicked the mummy off of him and pelted it with a barrage of punches.

 

"End of Part 1 of Match One of Round 2!" The announcer screamed. "What a barrage of battles! It's a pit stop for now, but soon..! Part 2!"

Xardius bowed to the cheering crowd and walked over to Wing. "You could help us, by the way. I heard Odin say even if you lost in Round 1, Round 2 is sort of like a proving ground...If you won Round 1, you're automatically in Round 3, but if you lost Round 1, you have to pay to get in to 3, which is what Round 2 is about, but if you won Round 1, you still have to fight Round 2..."

He shook his head. "Now I'm confused...Well, anyway, you can fight with us, if you like."

 

"These rules make my head hurt...Along with the rest of my body," Xane commented as he awaited what was next.

 

"But see you and i both know that i won my fight in round one. The brotherhood is up to something. They handed Nulix a check to both leave the tourny and the UO. pretty Hefty sum too. I say we hurry and win then start looking around for the Brotherhood's dogs."

Wing stood and stretched, reaching a hand to Crissilia.

"Care to join us?"

She shook her head yes and stood up.

"i have no weapon...but i can use magic yes?"

BIC: Xardius grinned. "Yeah, let's do this, then."

Not waiting for Crissilia's answer, he jumped into the arena, bouncing up and down...almost.
