"Who said anything about joining you guys?" Adumbral laughed. "Maybe I'll join the Brotherhood.. or I'm sure the U.P.A could use my talents after the number you did to them. Besides. I don't really qualify under the nobody description."

Summoning another blade into his left hand, he muttered "Two against one, nobodies do sure play fair."

 

OOC: I'm getting the feeling that Adumbral is slightly insane...

BIC: "You're, the one with all of the energy powers. So I'd say this is pretty even," Xane commented.

 

OOC: Well, he is Xegreny, except evil and crazy..

So yes. :S

BIC: "True. True." Adumbral said, swiping at both members with his two swords. Then, he started spinning, like a top. A bladed, deadly top.

 

*Darxess smiles*
Darxess:"And so it begins......"
*Darxess backed off slowly, knowing that going toe-to-toe with him spinning like a top would nearly be suicide*
Darxess:"Perhaps I should just try an old standard*
*Darxess slammed his fist into the ground, causing a spike to rise up underneath Adumbral*

 

"Well, to be honest, this isn't even a real body! I just forged it like I forged these weapons! So I don't need any of this!" Adumbral cackled.

OOC: Beating the crap out of him will still hurt him, just not physically. It'll hurt his soul.. or something.. I dunno. Either way.. just keep beating him up.

BIC: Adumbral's top.. plan.. thing was interrupted by the spike. He hurtled through the air, till he landed peacefully on the ground. Winding up, he threw both swords as hard as he could at his opponents. Then he summoned new ones, and repeated the process.

 

"Got a plan, old man?" Xane asked Darxess.

 

*Darxess slammed the ground again, causing a spike to rise up in front of him and Xane, blocking all the swords thrown at them*

 

"That works," Xane commented. "Now for the attack...."

 

Adumbral changed tactics, and summoned bombs instead of swords. Tossing them lightly. The explosions rocked the arena, and the fire.. wasn't fire. More like energy.

 

*The spikes that Darxess had summoned were ripped apart by the explosions*
*Darxess raised his arms in an attempt to block, but the explosion hit him anyway, causing him to skid back a few feet*
*Darxess lowered his arms, his whole body surrounded by smoke*
Darxess:"I see that you want to play it a little rough. Two can play at that game."

 

Xane managed to maneuver around the blasts and reach Adumbral, elbowing him in the face.

Odin looked gloomily over the body of his fallen son. He had not spoken for quite some time. The other gods hadn't either. Thor, then asked the question they'd all been thinking.

"Father. What should we do about the tournament?" he asked.

"....It must be canceled," Odin sighed. "But for now, we must bury your brother."

 

*Darxess eyes narrowed*
Darxess:"Darn........If only Orb was arround......Whoever kidnapped him will pay......"
*Darxess raised his Skythe above his head*
Darxess:"Perhaps its time I try something new......."
*Darxess began focusing his energy*

OOC:Sorry. Got nothing. Just keeping on fighting without me and I might think of something for the tie breaker, or something.

 

OOC: All right, here we go.

BIC: At that exact moment in time, thirteen things happened.

Xardius woke up from his cat nap with a feeling of utter urgency. Hissing, he made sure Crissilia was still asleep and slipped out of his room...

Scourge gritted his teeth, and sweat fell on the floor...

Enigma doubled over in agony, his breath suddenly come hard and fast, his mouth open as he sucked in air...

Dark clouds began forming...

Tera Roth stopped in mid stride, and turned to look out a window, his expression intense...

Highwind and Tyre gave each other knowing glances and ran outside their room...

Inexplicably, all things that read time stopped working...

Every animal within 100 miles of the arena turned and bolted...

A healthy infant was found mysteriously dead on one of the neighboring worlds...

Several hundred people never woke up from a nightmare that became reality in their sleep, their family finding them dead in their beds from horrible wounds...

Leaves fell from the trees as if they were never connected, and the branches withered...

The air turned hot and sticky with moisture...

And Azull the Illusionist stepped from his portal into Asgard.

 

OOC: ......What the hell? Don't get me wrong. That wasn't a bad post, but...What the hell?

 

OOC:I think this is all what happened the moment that Balder died. I could be wrong, but that's my guess.

As the saying goes:"The **** has hit the fan."

 

OOC: Curse my slow internet!!! Here's what.

BIC: "Xardius!" Tera Roth called, skidding to a stop as the powerful warrior emerged from the dormitories. "Can you feel this!?"

"Yes, but I don't think everyone can," Xardius said. "Crissilia didn't even roll over."

"What is it?" Tera Roth asked, gritting his teeth.

"I think...it's the Brotherhood's goal," Xardius said. "Whatever it is..."

"Something strong enough to affect us all the way out here..." Tera Roth shook his head. "Why can't anyone else feel it?"

"I think only those in tune can feel it. Like sound, there's only a certain wave frequency that people can hear, or in power's sense, levels of power. This level is very low, but we can feel the current behind it," Xardius theorized. "Whatever it is, it's being kept low key...There, it's gone."

Tera Roth nodded. "It was either a failure or a test."

"Or neither," Xardius said. "Never expect the obvious."

Enigma groaned as he struggled to sit up. "Scourge..." he moaned. "What is going on....?"

Azull wiped sweat off his face and heaved a sigh of relief. He wouldn't have to...No matter. He stepped forward, moving quietly towards the arena.

Highwind and Tyre moved down to a lower-grade dormitory, opening their door there and walking in.

"How is it?" Highwind asked.

Tyre looked it over. "Fine. Still shut down, thank heavens. I was worried that would affect the spell somehow."

"I hope we don't have to keep it much longer," Highwind said. "I've been getting the chills lately."

"Yes," Tyre said. "Well, good. It's fine, so we can leave."

Highwind shrugged. They both stepped out of the door, locked it, and began walking towards the arena.

"By the way," Xardius asked. "What are you doing here?"

"Oh, uh," Tera Roth said. "I was sent to help you guys, er, get Orb back."

"Really?" Xardius said, his eyebrows raising. "I find that hard to believe..."

Tera Roth wasn't as panic-stricken as before, but he still had to swallow audibly. "Believe what you want. I've gotta go."

And he walked off, leaving Xardius staring after him with hard eyes...

 

OOC: Still confused, but I'll go along with it...

BIC: Novice got up off of the floor of his room and spat a bit of blood into a nearby trash bin. It couldn't be happening already could it? As he tried to walk towards a nearby exit, he stumbled and had to grab onto the coffee table for support. due to his specific abilities, this.. ...'wave' would affect him the most.

 

OOC: That's all right...You're meant to be mostly...

BIC: Enigma struggled to his feet as the "wave" dissipated. "Ugh," he muttered. Utilizing his darkness powers, he was instantly next to Novice. "Novice...I don't know what that was, but I have a guess. It means...it's breaking through. We have to hurry..."

 

"R-right..." Novice gasped. " Just let me get a breath or two..." Novice then composed himself and stood up. "Right. Let's go."

OOC: Where are they going, anyway?

 

Adumbral cackled as he created a gatling gun, and peppered the arena with bullets. He was vaguely aware of that scientist guy vanishing.. but he'd deal with him later. His main target was still semi unconscious anyway.
