The Ultimate Organization III

Xane started walking towards the stairs, not entirely convinced.

 

OOC: Well, I was waiting for Nulix to post but it doesn't matter...

BIC: Tera Roth ran up the stairs in front of Xane, laughing. "I got there first!"

So he was the one who sprung the trap. So he was smacked fifty yards back by the giant hammer that swung.

"Booby traps, how appropriate," Tyre said. "I don't think these are illusions. Be careful."

 

"A hammer?" Xane asked, watching his steps. "Not the kind of death trap I was expecting..."

 

OOC: Bah, I have to go. My parents are making me. I'm really sorry guys...

"It worked well enough," Tyre said, tapping Tera with his foot, who twitched.

"Whatever," Highwind said. "First trap sprung."

Running forward, he ran up the stairs, dodged a giant spike that erupted from the floor, and another from the ceiling, then sidestepped a spear that flew at him. Reaching the second floor, he looked around...

It was another study.

"Hmm," he said.

 

OOC: So, no one posted? I guess I'll wait arounf for DK...


BIC: Xane examined the various books in this new study. "Let's just move on," he said. "THere's bound to be more traps in here..."

 

OOC: I was here earlier, but had to do homework, and my brother got on while I was gone..."doing homework" of course, of which he just got off. And now I'm being told to go to bed, because I have a cold, so I'm labeling myself as sick, coming up with something great for tomorrow, and going to finish my homework. See you tomorrow guys.

 

OOC: Where is everybody? School work got you down?

 

OOC: Yeah, but I'm here for a bit. Might be slow responding.

 

OOC: That's good. What's now?

 

OOC: Sorry, unobligatory family meeting that lasted forever. I started falling asleep. Now, we can fight Azull if you want to.

 

OOC: Sure. Let's go.

BIC: Xane continued to walk up the staircase.

 

OOC: OK!

BIC: Tera Roth, Tyre, and Highwind followed Xane up the stairs into the final room. No one was there...

"Or so it seems," Azull said from nowhere. "I can't believe you were able to sneak up on me like that. But now it's my time to play. Let's see...what if..."

"Shut up," Highwind said, pulling out his sword. "We're not leaving until you're dead."

"Finally realized that fighting the Brotherhood was futile without killing me?" Azull said.

"Finally?" Tyre frowned.

"I"ve been waiting for you to attack me so I could kill you of course," Azull said.

"What a joke," Tera Roth said. "Even I know that's a lie..."

Azull was silent, as hundreds of beasts suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

 

"They're not real," Xane said, walking thorugh the beasts. "As long as we believe that, you're power is broken, right?"

OOC: Gotta go for a couple minutes, but I'll be back.

 

"True," Azull said. "But..."

The wall behind Xane slid apart, and as he turned, Mellodia was revealed, chained to a post, with the beasts walking up to her.

"It only works if everyone doesn't believe in them," Azull said. "Will you let them devour her because she believes in them?"

A beast dragged a claw across Melodia's face, opening its maw as she screamed...

 

"...B-but that's just another one of your illusions, right?" Xane stuttered. "All of this crap ain't real. The beasts. This fake Mellodia. Maybe even the castle."

 

"Are you willing to bet her on that?" Azull said.

Tyre gritted his teeth. "Make your choice Xane...Not even I can tell..."

 

Xane rushed towards Mellodia and punched in the head of the beast clawing at her. He then did the same to the other beasts, before trying to free Mellodia from her chains.

 

Tyre was there, fighting off the sudden onrush of beasts.

"Listen, Xane, you take care of Mellodia," Tyre said. "We'll finish these guys."

"Can you, I wonder?" Azull asked, appearing finally across the room. "Can you indeed...?"

 

Xane snapped the chains and placed Mellodia down, gently. Then he looked back at the Guardians.

"You sure you don't need help?" he asked.

 

"We'll be fine, just get her out of here," Tera Roth said, aiming his sword. "Together, we're unstoppable."

"It would take Xardius himself to move us," Highwind said. "So don't worry about it."
