OOC: Sorry I wasn't online last night. Problems arose...

BIC: Xane turned towards the others. "We can talk about what we're going to do with Lexx's deal later," Xane said. "I'm more concerned about the race. It's tomorrow, right?"

 

Nulix nodded...

 

"So let's head to the training simulation? It can't be bad to test out how are vehicles will run before the race," Xane continued. "The best part is that you don't have to even use your vehicle. You can just input your gummi's statistics into the simulation chamber and the machine will show you a guess of how well your gummi will operate during the race. Or we can go to the test track and see how they actually run on he road."

 

OOC: I'm out of here! AHAHAH!

 

OOC: Uh, okay. See ya.

 

Wing sat beside Vecked's unconscious form. He couldn't help but think how peaceful the prince looked in his sleep.

"I know you aren't evil. There's not an ounce in you...you just let your soul cast aside all it cares about in the hopes of achieving your goals. Unlike me you learned a long time ago, that emotions just get in the way...so you do your best to hide them...but I can see them...your concern your anger, your sadness...its all in your eyes. Enemies only detect fear. Saak was the only one who saw jsut how hard it was for you. I won't forget the fight we had in Kingdom Hearts...you saw them all...all the people you cared about...that's the first time i saw the sadness in your eyes where i had always seen hatred and darkness."

He sighed and looked up to the cloudy sky, it looked like rain and Wing hoped he wouldn't have to find shelter.

"Someday I want to take you to Prism..more specifically to Ater." He chuckled. "You can't even hear me right now yet I'm carrying on a conversation with you."

Th rain began to fall, steady at first then it began to pick p a bit. Wing waved his hand and created a make-shift tent out of twilight and wind, keeping the water droplets from hitting the tent. Wing lay on his back and waited for the prince to wake up and the rivalry to start once more.

 

"WE OWN THE NIGHT!" The U.P.A. agents yelled, landing around Wing until he was surrounded. Wing got ready to attack, until Niles ran out of the huge U.P.A. crowd, hands in the air. "Wait," Niles said, "We have a message for you."

A few agents put a small table in front of Wing. Niles placed a small flat screen computer in front of Wing, after a second of static, Lexx's smiling face appeared on the screen.

"Wing! Welcome!" Lexx said. Two agents pulled Vecked away while Lexx gave his opening lines. "I'm here to talk about your contract," Lexx explained, "The rest of the friends have already agreed to this... so let me tell you about it. Basically, it says that you are a partner of the U.P.A. Your not working for us, just getting orders from us. Plus, we are both after the Brotherhood so basically its just giving you your goals in a straight forward way."

The two agents put Vecked in the back of the Gummi Ship. "Don't stop," The agent explained to the U.P.A. driver, "Not unless you need gas. Other than that, take him directly to the rest stop."

"Yes sir," The driver said, starting the engine...

 

Xane went through the user manual for his gummi, before deciding to give it a test run.

Novice sat down, staring at the stream of water in front of him.

"This is where it all began for me, huh?" he smiled, asking no one in particular."

 

The man quietly slid into the truck, er, gummi, without anyone hearing, seeing, or otherwise noticing his presence in ANY way, coldly knocked out the driver, and began driving the gummi away...

Without glancing backwards, he exited the atmosphere and began the long warp to his destination...

The man had dark skin, dark eyes, and dark hair...

Xardius continued customizing his gummi, but then remembered something.

"Hey, Nulix, your eye!" Xardius said, standing up from underneath his gummi. "Aren't you half blind?"

 

Nulix jumped into his gummi, revving up the engine. "The World Wide League has a limit for how long you can fly with your gummi. In the World League the limit of using the Gummi's Sky thrusters is four seconds," Nulix explained, "My ship was made for a professional league, it has pretty powerful sky thrusters but it could never fly, and definitely not go into space..."

Nulix turned to Xardius and nodded, "Yeah... my eye's still kinda messed up, but I'm a better driver than anyone else in the League, I can drive even if I don't see things that good right now..."

 

OOC: I would have just let them take Vecked but then I thought of something cool...

BIC: Xardius shrugged. "All right, then...I'll follow you guys in a second, if you're going to go test your ships..."

OOC: I'll be back in a second.

 

Vecked woke up angrily, ready to kill the driver...

Nulix drove the ship out of the garage onto the open road, "Where's the training track at?" He asked Xane or Xardius...

 

"Ready for the test run?" Xane asked, hopping it the pilot's seat of his ship. "It's the track that we landed on."

 

"You're awake, that's good," the man said, turning to look at Vecked, his dark eyes peering intensely at him. "Think of this as a 'you owe me,' OK?"

Xardius shrugged. "Go ahead, I'll be right behind you, I just...wanna...grump...*

Climbing back underneath the gummi, his upper torso disappeared.

 

"I didn't asked to be saved, you did cause you wanted too," Vecked replied, "I don't owe you a thing... now that we've made that clear, who are you?"

 

"Alright, then," Xane nodded, revving up the Magma Phaser, and driving it out of the garage, towards the test track.

 

"We are similar people," the man said, blatantly ignoring Vecked. "In fact...you could say we think exactly the same..."

 

"We don't think alike," Vecked replied, "I can assume that with almost one hundred percent certainty. Who are you and what are you talking about?"

 

"How much do you want to bet we think nothing alike?" the man asked. "I'm always in the mood for gaining cold hard cash...I guess that's the Nulix in me..."

 

Xane and the Magma Phaser reached the test track. Xane waited for Nulix and Xardius to arrive.

Novice continued to walk alone in the Dark Timeless River, remembering how far he had come since the last time he had visited there.
