The Ultimate Organization III

OOC: What's that? We live in a world with talking rodents, you say? Yeah, I can buy the bullet thing.

BIC: The other drivers began to do the same, following Nulix. Naturally, there were other drivers still ahead of them. One of them, the Sky Tiger, was driven by Venture Jr. Xane, seeing an opportunity to beat him in the race, sped past some of the others. to catch up with him and Nulix. Next obstacle appeared to be a sandstorm of some sort.

 

Nulix pushed a vehicle to the side, sending it crashing into a wall and blowing up. The driver was ejected in a sphere as his ship blew to pieces. "Maybe I should have used that guy's train of thought and put some safety devices in my ship," Nulix muttered.

The black and red ship sped up to Nulix. Nulix saw the advancing opponent and got ready to block any weapon he may have. The ship hit Nulix to the side. Nulix responded by hitting twice as hard. "We must both be out of ammo," Nulix muttered, ramming the ship beside him. The two started to drive into the sand storm...

OOC: Good point...

 

Xane figured that the only way through a sand storm was to rough it put. He followed Venture Jr. across the harsh winds and slammed into the side of the ship. Venture Jr. was shocked for a second, before slamming his ship back. Xane was about to speed ahead, before noticing a black and red gummi that was seeming to give everyone trouble as it passed by. Xane, Venture Jr, and a couple of other drivers seemed to have the same idea and raced after it.

 

It was getting harder and harder to see in the storm. Nulix had trouble seeing the red and black driver beside even. Suddenly, his rival driver was gone, and Nulix was alone. "Wheres the road?" Nulix muttered, covering his mouth as to not breath in the sand. Nulix drove blindly for a few seconds until he left the ground. The sand disappeared as Nulix's ship hit the ground. He had driven off the edge of the track, and it was a long drop to the ground. Nulix stumbled out of his vehicle and examined it, "Thank god this thing landed on it's feet," Nulix muttered, "I can't afford to fix it before tomorrows big race." Nulix looked beside him. The red and black racer stood nearby, his ship half molded to the ground. The driver had also fallen and wasn't as lucky as Nulix, now his ship was just a burnt up piece of rubble.

 

Xane steered pass the smoldering piece of rubble that was once the black and red gummi. As he neared the finish line, an orange and black racer zommed pass him. The Sky Tiger had beaten him. Ahead of both of them was Nulix, and several U.P.A operated vehicles.

 

Nulix clapped as Xane raced past the finish line. "This thing is a death trap," Nulix muttered, as the drivers who finished exited their cars. "You got that right," Lexx said, standing beside him, "Nulix, I heard about your eye."

"I don't need your pity, Lexx, thanks anyway," Nulix replied.

"Pity?" Lexx said, almost insulted, "I want to help you! I got a surgeon, does wonders in eye sight. I brought him cause I think I need a new pair of reading glasses, and now he can help you! One of the many things the U.P.A. can offer."

Nulix raised an eyebrow, "Really?"

"Of course," Lexx replied. "Alright, sure thing, tonight even?" Nulix asked. Lexx nodded. "Alright, good," Nulix said, "Thank you... now, if you don't mind I'll go check on Xane, alright?"

"Nice race," Nulix said, walking past the other vehicles to Xane's Magma Phaser.

 

"Yeah," Xane said, somewhat bitterly. " Too bad I lost to that Venture guy, though. What did Lexx say, anyway?"

 

"He said he may be able to put me through a, uh, eye surgery to make me... see in my left eye," Nulix said, "He said we could do it tonight even, which is fantastic, ya know? Good race, man, by the way... some dangerous drivers here, and I suspect we just saw half of them today. Tomorrow they will be everywhere on the real track, ya know? Much harder..."

 

The man stared at Vecked, then began to laugh. "It is good to be on the outside for a change..." he said, staring at Vecked. "Then I can tell you face to face: You convince yourself that what Enigma said isn't true, because deep down you know that if it is true, you're just as worthless as everyone claims. Deep down you're just nothing, like everyone else. You're garbage."

"So, instead of facing that outcome, you deny it, and believe that in denying the truth, it will become truth. Your truth is the only truth. You believe your rules are the only rules. You're deluding yourself with your own power, hiding behind a facade, a shadow. I won't stick around much longer, waiting for you to stop hiding," the man said, leaning back in his chair. "You don't even know who I really am, do you?"

"Hmm, this is interesting," Tera Roth said. "First step out of the gummi, and we meet a Brotherhood member..."

"Let's have a party," Tyre said.

"I'll grab the chips," Highwind said.

 

"You sure you can trust him?" Xane asked "I know he's our ally now, but something about that doesn't seem right." Xane then hopped back in the Magma Phaser and continued, "I'm gonna back to the Bureau. Might hang out in the lobby for a while and then go to my room."

 

Vecked looked at the man and shook his head, "Nah... I know who you are... your just another man, playing with fire... which means your nothing like me." The ship suddenly blew apart in flames, sending Vecked and the man flying to the ground.

"Nice shot," Niles said, patting a gunner on the back. "Have we got the portal ready?"

"As ready as it can be," An agent replied, showing an extremely unstable portal generated by hundreds of machines. "So this will take Vecked half way across the galaxy, your telling me?" Niles asked. The agent nodded.

"...Alright then," Niles said.

"The body!" Two agents yelled, dragging Vecked's form up to the Niles and the machine. "Escort him, come on, quickly, lets move!" Niles yelled, as the two agents jumped into the portal with Vecked's body. One second, Vecked was in the Dark Worlds, the next, he was in the northern ends of the Sora System.

"See ya, man," Nulix said, waving Xane off...

OOC: Have to go, see ya.

 

The man watched them take Vecked through the portal, then disappeared...reappearing where Vecked was in the Sora system. Two quick jabs later, and the UPA agents were unconscious.

"I can't move you myself," the man said. "Well, I suppose it can't hurt to let them all come through and have me beat them one by one. They can't see me anyway...And even if they could, they wouldn't understand..."

Xardius walked up to Nulix. "I just got a message from Wing. The UPA's got Vecked. And they weren't all too happy with Wing for taking him away from them. It seems the UPA is already acting like we're under contract..."

"Things are getting sticky," Xardius muttered. "Surgery from the UPA would be costly...and I don't mean through money..."

 

OOC: DarKnight, did you see my earlier post with Tul Raijin?

BIC: Xane drove off, heading back towards the Bureau. Placing his ship in the garage, Xane walked to the lobby where he saw Mellodia.

"Hey, Mell-," Xane began.

"Can you follow me for a second?" Mellodia asked.


"Okay, but-" Xane started again.

"Just follow me," Mellodia said.

 

The world around the man started to shift, and suddenly he was back in the Dark Worlds.

"Relax," Nulix replied, "Wing shouldn't be stupid and defend our enemy. Vecked bombed the Sora System, remember? Isn't it natural for them to want him? And besides, Lexx just wants us to sign, he thinks giving me a free surgery will help my decision. Its just a favor from Lexx."

 

The man shook his head. "They don't get it."

He reappeared next to Vecked. "We are inseparable, you and I. Though I do go where you go, not vice versa..."

"Vecked wasn't ever exactly our enemy," Xardius said. "Or at least he hasn't been for a quite a while. We've each been doing our own things, and if we cross paths every now and then..."

He shrugged. "Wing likes Vecked. As a friend. He'd defend him if he wanted to."

"Now as for the UPA," Xardius said. "They've never actually been our enemy, but they've been trying to manipulate us for over a year now. They've failed because they've always tried force...Now they're trying to use us under the guise of a contract, but they've set this up good. Lexx is smart. He got on our good sides by promoting us and saying we should be heroes, and all that. He got everyone convinced he really liked us, then he offers us a super contract in which he gives us money. In fact, he's going to tell us what to do, and I read through the contract just now. There isn't a nice way of breaking the deal. In fact, it all gets rather sticky."

"It's easy to enter, but it's horrendous to get out," Xardius concluded. "All in all, I feel that they're just trying a way to control us again...this time through persuasion and suck-up tactics."

"Besides," Xardius grumbled. "I could fix your eye if I had an hour or so. You just have to ask..."

EDIT OOC: Yes Pirate, I remembered, I just forgot again...

BIC: Scourge wiped sweat from his forehead. "Thank you, Tul Raijin. See if you can find Eclipse. I imagine he'll have your next assignment, though I think you should probably take a couple of days off to rest."

Picking the cage up, Scourge walked away, the Virus in tow.

 

The man was back where he was before, in the Dark Words. The U.P.A. anti track device was well in play, forcing anyone coming in the same area as a portal the U.P.A. created to automatically be directed back to where they came from. No matter what power the man has, it was no match for technology.

Nulix smirked, "Lets not joke ourselves, Xardius, I don't think you could fix blindness. The U.P.A. has always been our enemy, and now they see us as a tool. They think they can direct our power to their enemy, the Brotherhood. The reason this works now is because we both want the Brotherhood destroyed. Its shallow, but in this case it works."

Nulix smiled, trying to lighten the tension a bit, "Besides... me, Xane, Bella, Xereny, Geryl... we aren't exactly on the fast track to a well lived life. I need money, I can't do this much longer... he's offering to give us... millions. I'll take that."

The Virus shifted in it's cage, trying to get out, to be free...

 

OOC: ...

BIC: But the man hadn't gone back to the dark worlds; more specifically, a part of him had, but it was bouncing back and forth. Irritated, the man dragged all of himself into the Sora system. "This is ridiculous," he said. "What are they trying to do to me?"

"After all, it's not like I'm even there," the man said, and disappeared.

Xardius frowned. "I've done it before...it just took a while. And perhaps I should have told you, but I'm rather filthy rich. If you want money..."

EDIT IN: Scourge glanced back at the Virus. "I'll let you out soon, I promise. But you must promise me something in return..."

 

OOC: ... (Unamused).

BIC: The man was anywhere but in the Sora System.

Nulix smiled, "Well... since your apparently rich all of a sudden, I'm sure you can buy yourself something nice... the world isn't as chaotic as you think, Xardius. The war is decided in the conference room, not the battle field. We have to find a way to adjust... I'll see you later, I have to talk to Lexx...


OOC: I'm out of here... and don't you dare do notin' crazy Dk! YA HEAR MAH!!!!

EDIT: Actually, no, I'm not out of here because Dk just posted something interesting.

BIC: The Virus shifted in its cage some more...

OOC: Okay, now I'm out of here... for real.

 

"Thank you," Raijin nodded and walked off.

"What do you want?" Xane asked "Where are we going?"

Mellodia didn't speak until they reached one of the highest floors in the Bureau. Mellodia quickly opened a door with a swipe from her card key, before sitting down and saying, "There's something I need to tell you about the race," Mellodia said.

"What?" Xane asked.

"As you know the U.P.A is running the race. You probably also know about the group of Brotherhood participants in the race and that the U.P.A is currently at war with the Brotherhood...," Mellodia continued.

"Yeah..." Xane nodded.


"Well we'd like you to investigate their actions over the course of the-" Mellodia started.

"Sorry. We already have enough pressure from Lexx to sign a partnership with the U.P.A, but I don't need any from you too," Xane said.


"Listen," Mellodia said, angrily. "Just listen for a second. The U.P.A also has this...surprise obstacle. It hasn't been revealed to any of us, yet...but. Venture believes it could be dangerous to all of the other racers."


"Right...I guess I'll help," Xane said. "Anything else?"


"We might delay the race for a bit tomorrow and that's it," Mellodia said.

"Alright then..." Xane said, walking out of the room. Deciding on the best place to look for information, Xane decided to look in the dinner buffet.

 

Nulix woke up the next morning, a bandage still wrapped around his eye. Nulix walked to the hotel bathroom and splashed some cold water on his face. "Wonder if I can take this off yet..." Nulix muttered, looking at himself in the mirror. Nulix reached for the bandage and unwrapped it, reveling a new left eye, identical to the one on the right.

Nulix smiled, looking around. "This is awesome... I can win that race for sure now," Nulix said, grabbing the new clothing Lexx had given him yesterday. Nulix looked at himself in the mirror, white collard shirt, black jacket, and a pair of jeans. Formal yet casual.

Nulix couldn't help but smile at himself. "New day awaits," He said, whistling to himself as he walked out the door and down the stairs.
