Xardius shook his head. "And yet we're working for them...OK, we're here. Grab him and let's go."

 

"Hold up, here he is," Nulix said, as they pulled up to the side of the street. Nulix jumped out of the vehicle, grabbed the balding middle aged man, and pulled him in.

Skinnar watched the agents take the test until most of them put their pencils down...

 

"Great," Xane said. "Now let's head back."

The agents had all finished writing. They waited patiently for Skinnar's next order.

 

"No please don't kill! I ain't the traitor here! Is this Lexx doing this?! Is it Bower?! Did mah Hairis send you?! Oh god say he didn't! Please, nah. It was the others! I was the one good man and they traitored me!" The man yelled, trying to hit Nulix, Xane, and Xardius...

Skinnar looked over the agents, "No one leave this room until further notice... um, any questions anyone?"

 

"Um, sure," Xardius said, hitting the gas back towards the...original place...that was never named...

 

"You sure we got the right guy?" Xane asked.

Mellodia raised her hand and asked, "Um, yes. Why are you holding all of the agents here? Some of were either in the stands or working in the Bureau offices at the time the...black sand was activated. We have security cameras to prove it."

 

"Anyone that came from the Sora System could of transported it... most agents got transfered. We have no idea when it arrived here... oh, results are in people!" Skinnar said, getting handed a piece of paper. "Um... we need to see a Mr. Dennis Heynolds, and a Miss. Mellodia... the rest of you can leave, thank you for your time."

"Welcome!" Lexx said, taping on the window of the UO's ship as it pulled up...

 

Xardius punched Lexx in the face.

"That's currently the amount of pain I've had to endure from this guy wacking me on the back of the head the whole trip," Xardius said, a temple pulsing.

 

"What is wrong with you, jesus christ man..." Lexx said, holding his eye. "Lexx is dirty traitor! I knew it! I knew it!" The man yelled, being held by Nulix.

"I can deal with this crap today," Lexx muttered. "Uh, agents, take him to the evaluation room... hurry, please." Two agents grabbed the ranting man and dragged him away.

 

Xane would have normally laughed if something like that happened, but he had other thoughts.

"Hey, Lexx," he started. "Since we're in you're employ, can you tell us everything the U.P.A has been hiding for the past few years? Only 'cause we need to know what's going on."

Venture frowned when he realized Mellodia still remained in the interrogation room. But he couldn't risk going in to check.

Mellodia sat patiently and waited for Skinnar to speak once again.

 

Xardius smirked.

 

"Sure thing," Lexx replied to Xane, blinking his eye, "Please, to my office, its right around the corner, come on."

Skinnar looked down at the two of them, "You two are the only employees who applied in the dark worlds. We have no history on both of you, so we have two choices. Make our own assumptions, and those would be that you two got the anti-virus clone in somehow, or you could tell us a bit about yourselves so we don't have to go through any... unpleasantness."

 

Xane shrugged at his friends and the followed Lexx.

"Easy," Mellodia said, with a smile. "I thought it'd be a good opportunity to join the U.P.A and so I did. Before I joined, I was a general in Tul Raijin's army and later an ally to the U.P.A."

 

"And we have our criminal," Skinnar muttered, "The guards will escort you to the evaluation room in a second, Miss. Mellodia... oh, Mr. Heynolds, your free to walk."

"The hell was that?" The man asked. "You didn't find anything that links her to the Virus or whatever reason we are here!"

"It doesn't matter, Mr. Heynolds," Skinnar replied, "The problem is fixed, we just need it to be done with. She was a former Raijin agent so she is the most guilty."

"That's the stupidest piece of crap I've ever heard!" The man yelled.

"Then your also guilty, how does that sound?" Skinnar asked.

"Please, sit down," Lexx said, escorting everyone into his office. "So," Lexx said, sitting in a chair across from the rest. "How you feeling? Feeling like something could work out here?"

 

Xardius didn't follow them. Instead, he headed for another building, where currently Mellodia and "Mr. Heynolds" were being held. Listening at the door and heard the argument...

Perfect, he thought.

 

"What?" Xane asked. "No, I just wanted to know wah the U.P.A is hiding. Don't bother denying it, we know you have secrets. Now all you need to do is spill 'em."

"I'm an ally of the Ultimate Organization as well!" Mellodia shouted. "Ask one of them! Ask Xane!"

 

Skinnar paused, "You know Xane...? Alright, get out of here, forget this happened. As for you Mr. Heynolds, go to booth 86, they'll give you all you need, then get off this world and never come back."

Lexx smiled, "Believe it or not the situation is as basic as it gets right now. We are at war, all there is to it."

 

"What about the Virus? I know you have loads of information on that," Xane said. "You all captured it, right? Where's it being held?"

Venture noticed Xardius outside the door, but didn't make any effort to speak to him. A relieved look came upon his face when Mellodia exited the doors.

 

"Hold it," Xardius said. "I want Mr. Heynolds as my personal assistant."

 

An agent blocked Xardius from entering the door, "You can't go in there."

"The Virus went missing," Lexx admitted, glancing at the ground, "We have plan though, no worries. Now lets talk money, you sign with us you'll be making two-hundred thousand a year, how does that sound?"
