OOC:Ok, but read my edit. I'll still try and use a translator to contact him and see if I can do anything, but I'm not sure if he'll do anything outside of a profession contract. I'll create a deviant art account (Never created one, because I never did my own art) and try and get ahold of him tomorrow, the conversation detail might drag on for a while, and I want to have plenty of time (On the other hand, he might immediatly deny my offer, in that case it won't take any time at all, but I'm trying to be hopeful)

EDIT: More bad news. Jheremy Raapack, the artist we were thinking about, only does sketches. They are good sketches, the comission is a I shown you in a link look great, and we might still use it (Especially for character sketches) but all the coloring and touch-ups show in his finished works are done by this guy:

OOC: Bugger...I've looked at all those "comissions" Darxess, and honestly, most of those guys are only slightly better than me. With some practice, I could be as good as them, so I'll just do it. Of course, I'll need script, character descriptions, etc. but I can do it...If I can get my %#$@ scanner to work...

Ahem...

OOC:Ok, but even without a comission, there is one thing I still haven't confronted yet...What shall be the image chosen? I was thinking of some charcter sketches, of course, but I was also planning on one gigantic epic painting to signify our RP. Something like you would find on a poster or a book cover. Which, of course, all fine and dandy, but one problem: What would that image be? What is the single most epic moment of our RP that just screams to made into a visual masterpiece? That, I'm having trouble deciding on...

Anyone willing to make suggestions?

 

OOC: Well Jaxed, I always thought our season finale's were always nicely done. Some big, visually spectacular moments I can think of right off the bat is in the beginning, the first huge knight battle on the fields outside of the forest on the World that never was, the first big battle with all the current UO members (except Xane...).

Another was the huge Knight battle on that desert world before we went into Kingdom Hearts. That crazy one where it was the final knight battle... until they came back later. Where buildings were collapsing and everyone was jumpin' around all crazy...

I remember that huge battle with the Air Army Advanced fleet. Most of you guys won't remember. We were in Kingdom Hearts and we found and entrance back to the Light Worlds. We arrived in the Light Worlds in the Olympus Coliseum, we see that its pretty much destroyed. Underground, Hades was basically protecting people in exchange for labor. We get there, Hades says he has a cure for the Virus infection, we enter a tournament. I remember Nulix and Vexneah were working together... or maybe they were fighting. I don't remember. The whole thing gets blown off when Vecked attacks with a huge Air Army sky fleet, just hundreds of stadium sized battle blimps, attack ships, etc-. I remember Geryl had made his way up to the main ship, Vecked's ship, and then there was a huge battle. This was also the first time Xardius died, he fell off the ship or something. The short lived character of Cortez Fukuyama-Kyba died there as well. The UO wins, world gets completely destroyed. We decide we need to stop the Air Country and we sent a guy off to connect with the League of Roth. Before we went back into Kingdom Hearts, and Pirate, correct me if I'm wrong, I think the famous Retlaw scene happened, where he died. Then we go back into Kingdom Hearts and fall into the ocean....... Its maybe just me, but that scene is tattooed in my brain.

Another scene that I remember is the final Kingdom Hearts battle by that lake. That whole build up to the final battle, the travels through out the Air Country, the whole Kingdom Hearts saga as a whole was outstanding... Good work, Nulix, good work. (Pats himself on the back.)

OOC: Haha good job nulix. what if we had a "poster" with the UO members in the middle a knight to the left, skinner and hojin next to each other, Vecked in the top right hand corner, Tera Roth in the upper left and on the very top middle we have scourge looking down on all of them?

 

OOC:Yeah, we had a lot of epic battles...One of those would be a cool poster. I also kind of like Wing's idea as well, perhaps a poster similar to a kingdom hearts poster with all the characters spread all over it. I'm honestly having trouble deciding...I don't want to overwork Darknight, and I can only afford maybe 1 good commission. So, which should we choose?

 

OOC: Yeah, like a poster with Nulix, Darxess, Orb, Wing, Xardius, Vexneah, Bella, Xegreny, Xane, Geryl, Vecked, Skinnar, Tera Roth, Alyt, and Scourge all doing some crazy pose.... I mean, those have been the most consistently important characters. There are a lot of other characters that would be good to have though, Noxas, Enigma, Lexx, Tui Raijin, Hojan, Aeron, Niles... there are more characters, I just can't think of them right now. And maybe some now dead guys, like Dragoon, Artemis Jett, Ex, Ruler of the Air Country, Oxyrt (although he's not really dead), Darek... Schmoppy.... Sanderson... WantMilk...

Blah, you know what. I'm gonna draw something myself. I'm not as good as this guy, but if I run my pictures through the computer enough times they will become beautiful...

 

OOC:Just keep telling yourself that.

OOC: i'd enjoy to see nulix's art work. lol you keep saying you can draw, but i dont think i've seen anything by you...and i'd really like to lol

 

OOC:Yeah, I was only joking earlier. I would really like to see Nulix's artwork as well.

EDIT:By the way, Pirate, you wouldn't mind if I uploaded the comic to DeviantArt, would you? I might ask a friend I found on DeviantArt to do a coloration of it. I also thinking of doing something similar with the fanfic, if no one minds me uploading it to DeviantArt, as well.

 

OOC: As I was, er, attempting to draw some practice stuff, I realized just how out of practice I am, but I'm still confident I could pull a comic off with work. I think I can also scan stuff in from my local library, so that shouldn't be a problem. If you guys can do a mock-up poster, I feel confident that I can work my magic, and give you guys some good ones based on them. And sorry I haven't been there; I know I'm suck at keeping promises...*sigh*

 

OOC:Hey, its no problem, don't worry about it. And as for the comic, I'm thinking we might use the fancy, decked out mock-up poster as the title page, whenever we get it finished. Have it designed like a book cover, or something.

 

OOC: I've actually been working on something else UO related as well. The info thread. Maps, profiles, worlds, timeliness, etc-. I just got back from South America so I should be able to be on a lot more.

 

OOC: Wow guys wow, it all sounds amazing....lol i could work up a soundtrack for the UO lol seeing as how i'm the only one not doing something...lol

 

OOC:Well, I think so far most, if not all the characters have their own themes, so it should just be a matter of searching for and remembering those themes to make a soundtrack. That, and have a few songs and compositions for the fights and stuff.

 

OOC: yeah thats what i was going to go for...more so a soundtrack for the events and organizations...i know we all have themes, so guys post em up and i'll put em together to make....idunno a playlist someplace *goes to research*

Its from an old game for the NES called "Shadowgate" one of the very first point-and-click RPGs. This guy takes the tune and performs an excellent version of it on the piano, and I like it enough that I want to try to work it into one of the themes, somehow.
