EDIT: I rolled the dice and got a 5. No chain. But Tokens don't come from the hand or Deck and don't go anywhere when they're destroyed so you can't use Avarice.

 

Again, do you have 5 monsters to return (Again, the tokens DON'T count toward your total.)

 

Ok hold up. What are tokens? i don't remember hearing anything about them.

I'm confused..

 

Tokens are special "monsters" that are activated and used based on certain card's abilities. Your Demyx card allows you to summon "up to 4 tokens" a turn. They are treated as monsters with their own stats and are used in the monster zone, but are not considered real monsters. If they are destroyed, they simply vanish not going to the grave or banished. You may have an infinite amount of them, but must still follow the 5 monster-zone rule.
