Okay, First of all, Listen very carefully. Don't let the real Jaden guide you.

He's an anime character. He always topdecks situational cards when he needs them. It doesn't work IRL. Cards like Avian, Burstinatrix, Clayman and Bubbleman are bad cards. Just because he used them in the anime doesn't mean they're good. This was something I too had to learn myself during my older years playing this game. Consistency is important. Don't run non-limited, important cards at 1. and avoid using cards that can't get you out of crappy situations on their own. You should run Gate Heroes or Hero Fish instead. I prefer Gate Heroes. They're my new fav deck but do what you want. Gate Heroes focuses on The Shining and recycling cards with Voltic and Hero Fish focuses Absolute Zero instead with the help of Fish and other Water Monsters. From the looks of this deck so far it appears you're going for Gate Heroes.

No offense but from the looks of what I've seen from you so far it appears you haven't been playing this game for very long and don't know much about it and need to learn it a bit better...

And while I'm at it I should also say this. Do not let ANYBODY from the anime be your guide, PERIOD. They make certain cards look good there but it doesn't mean they are.

I chain my facedown card appropriate!

How many times do I have to tell you? This guy is building an OTK deck, they don't follow the normal conventions of dueling. He's not running four of the basic heroes because he thinks they're good, he's running them because he NEEDS at least one copy of each for chain material.

I feel I should inform you that the fact that a deck can OTK doesn't mean crap. Any deck can OTK. Hopeless Dragons can OTK. f***ing Crystal Beasts can OTK. There is more to this game than combos. A good combo doesn't mean crap if you're never going to draw the cards for it. This is the problem with the decks I've seen by this guy. He can't build a deck that draws fast enough for anything to happen. His decks lack consistency and are too cluttered with unnecessary cards and dead draws. From what I've seen decks by this guy can probably pull a good combo or OTK off on a one in a million chance. This guy would get stomped if he went to a competitive tournament.

it's why it uses stall cards...
And it's not just a deck that CAN OTK it's a deck that's designed to OTK.

My point still stands. By the way, You do realize that in order for a deck to be considered tournament viable it has to win CONSISTENTLY right?

EDIT: Wow...I lost to Fred even though I was having better luck than him the 2nd time around...Now THAT'S pathetic...Maybe things would've gone differently if I had waited a little longer to chain my facedown Super Polymerization and to use Maxx C at a later time...MAYBE. I don't get how all these tourney players are able to think so fast...And I also still don't get how these tournament people are said to be able to win on turn 3 almost all the time. I say they're stacking.

My bad luck is my own fault for using an inconsistent deck. The counter-balance that makes it good is that most of its cards can sub in for one another, so it doesn't mind bad luck. Also, drawing tour guide and foolish burial when I did was amazing luck.

think quickly? What do you mean? Just because their moves are so fast? I do that all the time. Usually I'm thinking about every single thing I can do even while they're making their moves

This is how it works as a pure stall and speed deck:

Sure, you can still add some cards like worm linx, but for that, you would have to take out something different...
