Kingdom Hearts What did you think of Sora's english voice in KH1 ?

HJO's voice was good. I've learned by noticing things this: POP STARS MAKE THE BEST VOICE ACTORS IF YOU CAN GET BY THE FACT THAT THEY AER POP STARS. Really.

 

Same thing I thought. The Japanese Sora voice is way better.

 

The voice for KH1 fitted well with Sora.

 

I thought in the first game his voice was just fine. I thought it was cute.

In the second one.. ADORABLE. I loved it. Sora's so cute in the second game.. looks, voice, and all.

I love both voices. I thought they suited him perfectly.

 

In the first one, it definatly made it easier for the term "afeminate" to come to mind.

In KH2, it was still good still as Haley. The big difference really put the whole "puberity in a bubble" statment there.

 

His KH1 and 2 voices are by the same person but during the period between the two being made Haley Joel Osment's voice broke and got deeper. I did think his voice was really funny and high in the first one though. My voice is lower then that and I'm a girl.

 

Yeah, although Haley Joel was older than Sora on both occasions. Like in the Jiminy Cricket Journal in KH2 it said (about Sora)

"He seems to have grown a few inches whilst dozing..."

More like, he grew about a foot, his voice broke, and had a quick hair dye in the process.

 

That made my day. XD

I didn't really care for Sora's English voice, but it didn't sound that bad. I liked his voice in KH II though.

Now, Kairi's Japanese voice on the other hand...me no like. :xp:

 

I actually like Sora's voice better than the others. He actually sounds kinda in his age...

 

It's alright, I don't complain.

 

It was pretty good, why else would they keep the voice in II and the Japanese want to use it in the Final Mix version.

 

Well, they really did that so Japan could experience English cast. But then again, if they didn't like it, then they wouldn't want to torture their fans.XD

 

thats the voice that fits him most....the english kh1 version is definately best

 

Well to me his voice matched him perfectly in kh2. In kingdom hearts 1 he was just wow....

 

I like the Japanese version better, but I think it sounds fine. It's the same actor as the one in KH2, though. Haley Joel Osmant. I think he did a much better job in the second one than he did in the first one. The reason he sounds so different in KH2 is that he was only like 12 or something one he did the first one, so during those four years the second one was in development, Osmant's voice changed, as happens to all boys as teenagers.

I don't think he quite sounds his age. His voice should've been deeper. Remember that Sora was fourteen years old in the first one, and the actor was only, like I said before, about 12 or so...

 

Haley Joel Osment was born on 1989 so that makes him 13 when he voiced KH1 Sora.

I find his KH1 voice a little bit annoying for me but his KH2 voice made it much better for me.

I really liked the KHI Sora voice. A lot of voice acting, to me, in any medium, has always sounded a little forced. I didn't get anything like that from HJO. He sounded very much like a regular kid and I loved that. It made him that much more relatable, and you definitely need more than a little of that if you're playing a video game like KH.

I adored the sense of wonder you get from Sora as the story progresses. It's EXACTLY perfect. The two of you are both going 'Wow, what the hell is going on here?'

 

There was big voice gap in KH to KH2. But, that's okay cause there 4 years apart. Sora sounded like he was 12 in KH. I like KH's voice. I was annoyed by KH2's but, I got used to it. Roxas' voice is soooooo stupid. But, then again I hate both Roxas and McCartney.

 

I have a question. How are they supposed to make Sora's voice sound like it did in KH1 cause Haley kinda grew up. Are they going to put together some audio clips of Sora's voice in KH1 cause then he sounds like one of those Barbie computers. Lol

 

I prefered it after it broke in KH2, his voice made him sound more like a 12 year old.
