I don't think you need to worry about making her happy. She already seems happy just being with you(as corny as that sounded...), if she wasn't she would've already left, no? Don't get me wrong, she would definitely consider the chocolate gesture 'very sweet' and it may show you just want her to be happy, but I don't think it's needed here. [other advice deleted due to cooknig one being better]

EDIT: Ah, I didn't know you could cook. That'll definitely help you here. Go for it man.

 

Chocolate sounds fine, but I'd buy her dinner or a snack either now or some other time.
