So a few weeks ago I was forced to participate in the One Act plays by my friends. I got casted for two parts in a series of Monty Python sketches. It's my first time participating in any sort of theatrical production (aside from in fourth grade, where my lines were basically cut out completely) and I am really nervous. That's right! ;D It's getting to be that time of year again. Yes, it's a bit early, but last year I felt very rushed and I didn't think anyone would mind if we got a head start on all of this. Like last year, we will be using this section for the awards. (It will be renamed to coincide with the correct year, of course) I thought that the Awards last year went well. There certainly was plenty of categories to win in, though I wasn't entirely satisfied with my organization of the whole thing -- something I hope to rectify this time around. This thread is merely an announcement thread for all general discussion, questions, etc of the Awards. I'm revising the list of the categories and hopefully by the weekend I'll have a thread open with the list. That thread will also be accepting suggestions for what to add and what to subtract. Right now, I'm planning on having Nominations open by early June. Have fun, and be sure to check out the rules for the 2010 Awards! P.S. and I just went to the Stilshrine of Miriam Spoiler to get the Sword of Kings. It took me like an hour because of those stupid rotating statues, so I was quite relieved when I reached the room with the sword in it. There was the nice cutscene and all and Ashe went crazy and saw Rasler again and all of that, and then I equipped the sword. ... It is quite possibly the worst sword in my inventory. I want my hour back.
So when I was young girl of about 9 or something, I used to play demo discs that I got from magazines on my PS2. There's always been this one game that I remembered from it, and I never knew the title of it. I finally decided to sit down and search for it. :B AND I FOUND OUT WHAT IT WAS. I have a Piggy Bank that I keep on my desk. I have been slipping my extra change in there for maybe two years now, (as well as swiping some out when clothing sales call), and I decided to count it all today. I also decided it would be a fun game to post some pictures and have you all guess how much there is. :B Important Stuff: It's in USD. I have no job. CLOSEST GUESS BY SUNDAY GETS +REP. So as I might have told one or two of you, my sister Rebecca can be very difficult to live with. For as long as I can remember there's been friction between the two of us. I know it's normal to argue with your siblings, but the effect of it on my life can be overwhelming at times. First, a little history: when my dad and my mom divorced, the bedroom my mom was using opened up. So Rebecca got her own room, and I shared a room with my other sister, Michelle, who I get along with just fine. But after a few years of this, when she was about 12 (I would've been 10 at the time) she started to rebel a bit. She'd fight with my mom at least once or twice a week, and when I say fight I don't just mean bicker, they'd really go at it. She'd be snippy with my other sister (the two have always had a better relationship than me and Rebecca, probably because they're twins) and downright awful to me. But she also would have very brief times where she would actually act like a normal person. My mom got really tired of her attitude, and decided that maybe she was getting lonely. So with the moving of a few things, me and her were now sharing a room. This was a little over two years ago if memory serves correctly. It has most definitely improved her mood, now she is much happier for lack of a better word, but her moods can still be incredibly unpredictable. Small things will set her off and being on the receiving end of her aggression is not fun. Because of this, I've had to go out of my way to make sure things are how she likes it. I complied with her early bed time, I always close the curtains by a certain time, I won't listen to music when she does, I don't touch any of her things, etc. I can't listen to the same bands as her because she believes that if she listened to them first, they inherently belong to her and anyone who does is "copying" her because they're "jealous" and a "hipster". It's a lot of really small things like that, and it can get really exhausting doing this everyday. It's become a source of stress in my life. And when I forget she will blow up on me. I try not to retaliate because I know it will make things worse, but sometimes I just can't hold it in anymore and we'll stop talking for a week or two. So I just have to roll over and accept it all, take it all in without doing anything, and we fall back into the same cycle. Now I'm not alone in this, my mom will sometimes refrain from bringing Rebecca out with us because we all just get so tired of her mood swings. She gets very aggressive when you disagree with her, and always talks about how she can't wait to move out and get away from us. I guess this was more of a rant than anything, but I'd like to know if anyone has any advice on how to deal with her? I've already asked my mom about changing rooms, whether it means I'm alone or Rebecca is, and she just has really been kind of unhelpful when it comes to that. There is a kind of light at the end of the tunnel with this, because my other sister is moving out this September to go to school in the city, and I'm taking her room when she does. But I'm not sure if I can take another five months of Rebecca.
I have to bring in a game console and make a project utilizing a capture card. I get a class period or two in which I basically get to sit in a classroom alone and play video games. This is almost as cool as the time when we watched Star Wars in class. :B

I had an XCF lying around from my Gimp days that had a nice concept but was pretty poorly done, so I slapped together a new one in Photoshop. I ended up entering it in a contest, which had a minimum height, so I had to extend it and darken some areas. Will post the original in a bit, but critique for now would be nice. :]
Not really a band, but CLLCT is a "family of artists who help each other out whenever they can, and who make music because they love to make music... there are plenty of other places where one can get music, legally or illegally. But the Collective prides itself on having a roster of exceptional artists that are new and interesting; that way you don't have to wade through a hundred bad songs to find one you like". So basically, it's a website where artists put up their music for free download. Now, I know that sounds wonderful, but you're not going to be finding Jay-Z's latest album on there or something; it's stuff you've probably never heard of. But it's nice to listen to, nonetheless.
